Crypto is just glorified FX trading. And in FX trading, unlike the stock market, it's a zero sum game. I like to play games that are biased in my favour. The crypto traders will learn the hard way about their zero sum game soon enough.

Just received my first authentic jersey... Guerrero Jr. It's a good day. Merry Christmas to all!

 

My youngest (soon to be 6) received a baby blue Vlad Jr jersey from Santa. He hasn't taken it off yet (including last night while sleeping). Pretty special stuff.

That's like categorically fading all Internet companies twenty years ago

 

You can just think of it as a tech sector if it helps you stomach the change

I wonder if they’ll have pro sports like baseball in the metaverse eventually. Give nerds chance to be pros. Some rich dude will prob start up a league

Basically already exists with e sports. Or at least it's most of the way there.

I’m talking like full-on VR style simulation though. Like you live your life as a mlb player in the metaverse? That’s the aim, no?

Can you conclusively prove that someone isn't already playing a VR-style simulation of life and YOU are their avatar?

Hmmmm probably several years away from VR being good enough for a truly immersive sports replacement experience. Lots of cool developments happening with first person shooters though.

 

I think attempts to do metaverse sports will fail and sports will be replaced in virtual spaces by things that are more like popular video game models (shooters, rts games, etc.) the athletes of 2069 will be a bunch of fat 14 year old asians. Racing is both though.

Great morning.

 

It just wouldn't be Christmas without my brother in law's 75 year old Dad trapping me at a family get together last night to tell me "Jays just need to play a little more small ball and they need to sign Chapman for $20M next year because they got nobody else to play 3B".

It has been a profitable Christmas for sure and that’s all one can ask for. $400 gross to $200 outlay. Will be investing the profits in Canadian banks.
