Still tracking minute-by-minute updates on Reddit, btw!

Saw this on reddit, I really hope everything works out for you man.

If you ever need a wake up call to how little this all matters, I just found out that my entire team has been gutted at work and I'm sitting here waiting to find out if I'm one of the people that's been fired from the dream job I've held for almost four years or not.

Latest MLB proposal, per source:

Luxury-tax thresholds - $230M to $244M over course of five-year deal. (increase of $2M in final year from last offer)

Pre-arb pool: $50M (increase of $10M)

Minimum salaries, $700K to $780K. (increase of $10K in final year)

3 p.m. “deadline.”

Source: players are voting now on MLB’s CBA proposal, many already have cast their vote.

If there's an agreement today before 3:00 PM ET, players can start reporting voluntarily tomorrow, sources tell @porlagoma and me.

3pm deadline lol

I think the players take it, unless mlb snuck in some BS

The fact they are getting players to vote and not just the player reps means this is a deal that is within the parameters of acceptance they would have set prior to negotiations starting so... yeah, I think that's gonna be the deal.

And just so happens that all of these number are practically the exact halfway point to each sides original offers. The MLB netwrok radio guys called almost these exact numbers 6 weeks ago as what a deal would likely look like.

MLB proposed spring games to begin on or about March 17 and regular season Opening Day to be on or about April 5

Make up doubleheaders to get 162 in would be 9 innings.

Word is there are a couple Mets players concerned about the CBT, and one or two are arguing against accepting the MLB offer. Mets look destined to pay the biggest tax, and it’s possible they are concerned fourth tier relax could inhibit spending.

Scherzer and Lindor really gonna whine and hold up this deal because their owner doesn’t know how to budget properly??

Union executive board appears to be voting against approval. Uncertain how this could affect full player vote.

Gotta love that Guys like Lindor and Scherzer, making 30mil+ a year, are the ones arguing for a higher CBT now.

Just trying to fight for the little guys right

Im throwing my Scherzer bobble head in the trash

lol.

One would think that Scherzer with 80 million owed to him over 2 years doesn't feel like losing 7 million a month.

And he doesn't

So the strike goes on another month, then Scherzer won't sign on without getting his back pay... they won't give him his back pay.

Don't see how this ends. Hope I am wrong.

MLBPA executive board:

Max Scherzer

Francisco Lindor

Marcus Semien

Andrew Miller

Gerrit Cole

Zach Britton

Jason Castro

James Paxton

These men destroyed the 2022 baseball season

Yup. And they are still fighting for pay for 2020 for games that didn't happen during a pandemic where no fans were able to come.

That's why there won't be a 2022. Past the point they can play 162... so back-pay is an issue and they still want back pay from 2020 so they won't sign on for anything in 2022 without back pay for games that didn't happen.

Team votes are coming on now (delivered by player reps) and so far they are in favor. So far players are going against the executive council.

Nothing would please me more than to see the players vote yes and go against the executive council. They are close enough and there a ton of guys who still have to sign.

BREAKING: Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have reached a tentative agreement on a new labor deal, sources tell ESPN. While it still needs to be ratified by both parties, that is expected to be a formality, and when it is:

Baseball is back.
