Even if Cohen offered 5 years for 60 million, like you said Matz is under no obligation to sign with any particular team. Maybe his wife has family near St. Louis or something. Maybe he loves the food there. It doesn’t f***ing matter where he signs, its his choice.

Yeah, it’s like he’s not human and can’t change his mind. Maybe he meant what he said to his agent about the Mets but really felt great after the St. Louis situation was presented. Cohen is definitely childish going to Twitter like that.

1. He's from New York, she's from Alabama (just found out from a quick search she's a country music artist)

2. The food in St Louis is terrible

3. Like you said, it doesn't matter. He's a free agent and can accept whatever contract offer he wants.

Cohen is probably being too public for the team's own good

Isn't St. Louis known for the huge deep fried ravioli?

OMG that's funny. Yes. It's the only good thing I had there when dad and I went to thevWorld Series there 10 years ago.

St Louis style bbq ribs weren't to your liking?

I feel like Cohen is trying to be the Jerry Jones of the MLB but he is coming off so bad here.

No wonder his GMs drink and drive

This f***ing idiot needs to get off Twitter

No...no he does not. I wish for him to continue to do things that are detrimental to his organization. Also, imagine having a public conniption fit over Steven f***ing Matz LMAO. Cohen is the incel of MLB owners.

Yeah... I kind of enjoy watching the constant trainwreck that is the Mets

They've already lost out despite making their best offers to Bauer, Matz and Syndergaard. I think a lot of guys just straight up don't want to go there right now. Will be interesting to see what Stroman does.... he's been there through a lot of it.

They also were quite certain that Springer was gonna sign with them

Yeah. What even goes on in that front office...

The Mets seem to be the problem here. Not the players or the agents.

Wacha was a lot of things this year, but I don't think I'd say 'solid' was one of the them.

Seems fair. I liked him as a target

Me too. I liked him and Alex Wood the most as low cost options.

Moving J.D. Davis off 3rd base....Betting on the universal DH so they can us Davis and Dom Smith there? Have to think one of those 2 would be on the move. J.D. Davis can't seem to stay healthy, but the man mashes the ball.
