saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 The first homer was bad luck....the second was a bad pitch.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Man if you can't trust Pearson with a 4 run lead....
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Pearson's mechanics are off and his stuff is still filthy. If he ever learns to throw strikes and not be injured all the time he's gonna be scary. Merryweather has that filthy stuff too.
keggy Verified Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Remember when people wanted Pearson over Romano in a save situation?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Either the Yanks are guessing perfectly, or Pearson is tipping somehow, they’re on everything like they know what’s coming.
Starrynova Verified Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Outside of mayza, cimber, Romano, and Richards, our bullpen is terrible. Nothing new.
TrueNorth Verified Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 You are beating them with your heat so why the f*** do you offer up your slider? Cone on nate!
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 This is why Romano was up until it was 6-2 lol.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 no worries....f*** we're rolling!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 What you said just completely contradicts itself but ok. No it doesn't. "Never". You wrong, Jonn. Just like most of your posts in this thread.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Closing a game is not for just anybody. Got to admire the guys who can do it.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Urshela's had some ugly swings, so Pearson has to K this guy......
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 By 0.6 WAR, roughly And the stats will show that this has never been done. Nobody has ever been this good at hitting and pitching at the same time. The WAR proves it. Babe was the closest for a couple of seasons but not as impressive. Sorry babe.
Stottlemyres_Bloody_Chin Verified Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Double water bottle crush loser. Enjoy the sweep Voit.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 But f*** it. They swept the Yankees in New York. Making up 4 games in the standings, in 4 nights. Absolutely insane. This team is making the playoffs.
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 yay sweeeeeeeeeeepz. Harper took over Vladdy as OPS leader though, ahhh
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Ballgame... Lets roll on to wreck the O's GO JAYS GO!!!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 The first homer was bad luck....the second was a bad pitch. Yep. Sanchez hit 99 off the plate inside. That slider was a hanger to Voit. Not as sharp on it as last time out End the game with 101 on the outside corner low. He still needs pitches and innings to get dialed in. Good stuff though
John Balkabella Verified Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 I believe I’ll dust my broom.
Blastttoff Verified Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Boone is MVP for putting in Heaney. As for Nate, nah hes not ready
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Double water bottle crush loser. Enjoy the sweep Voit. Thought the same thing lol
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Decent outing for Nate. Build on it. Love that 101 away to finish Gio. Berrios solid start. Some of our situational hitting drives me nuts with runners on but never in my wildest expectations did I think we would take all 4 in NY. Great W!!
