TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Author Posted July 20, 2021 I f***ing hate Buffalo.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Game has been postponed and will be made up when the team is back in Toronto. This is a win/win since we also get to skip Hatch's start!
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Author Posted July 20, 2021 Postponed. Guess they at least get to dodge the Hatch start.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Author Posted July 20, 2021 Yeah, moving passed the bummed feeling of not having baseball to watch tonight, this is excellent for the Jays in a lot of ways. - Skip the Hatch start. - Rest the bullpen. - Manoah doesn't miss a start. - More baseball in Toronto. - One less game with opposing fans hijacking the stadium. - One more game with potential trade deadline upgrades on the team.
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Author Posted July 20, 2021 Some more good news: Kirk reinstated and optioned to Triple-A. Kay demoted. Zeuch DFA'd.

InvincibleTiger Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 This is a good thing. Miss Hatch start and rest pen.

Brilliant on every level. You have transcended to being the board god with these threads. Pre- AND post-game analysis.
ShowtimeBelli Verified Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Richards is trash. We were going to slap him around tonight
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Some more good news: Kirk reinstated and optioned to Triple-A. Kay demoted. Zeuch DFA'd. Some team is going to grab Zoinks (unless he's part of a trade?) and hope they can "fix" him. I just hope that it's a team in the NL, because it would f***ing suck if the Yankees got him and suddenly he was a stud or something. I have no problem ditching him, but I know the universe loves to kick us in the balls with stuff like that.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Richards is trash. We were going to slap him around tonight Yeah but they might have done the same to Hatch
TwistedLogic Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Author Posted July 21, 2021 Richards is trash. We were going to slap him around tonight That's the main negative here. They didn't get to beat up Hatch but the Jays also didn't get to beat up Richards. He's one of the worst starters in baseball so if ever there were a game where you could try and see what you have with Hatch in a starting pitcher, it would be in a game against Richards. That being said, they've kicked the s*** out of Pivetta in the past and that didn't help yesterday so it's probably for the best this game was postponed.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 I'd like to see Hatch one day too, but not against the Red Sox. Toss him out there against the Orioles to get his feet wet. Missing this game is a blessing.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Sale pitched 3/2 3rds yesterday. No hits, topping out at 97 sitting 93-95. 6K, 1BB

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Will he rejoin the club before the series in Toronto or after? I can't see him joining the Sox until after at least. It's his first start after TJ being out since the end of 2019.
