The Blue Jays are very close to being a very good ball club, but they must be aggressive in upgrading the pen and defense. It won't happen overnight, but even incremental improvements in these areas can have profound impacts on this ball club. They are close though and that is a good thing.

C'mon man. No excuse not using Romano versus the heart of their order, he's rested. Montoyo feels that using the pitcher with the embarrassing WHIP against the heart of their order in a 1-1 tie bottom of the ninth versus a divisional and playoff rival was the right choice.
