BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 If you let Castro or Cole or probably anyone else start the 7th we probably win At least have Castro hot in the pen FFS. When Chatwood loses first guy. Mind boggling. Off day tomorrow
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reliever with 5 walks and no strikeouts in a high leverage spot. This might be the first time it’s ever happened outside of empty pens in the 15th inning or something.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 (edited) Perhaps the saddest part of all this is Montoyo doesn't think he could have done anything different. Dunning Kruger effect. Edited June 1, 2021 by Omar
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Chatwood, you need to learn of Huascar Ynoa and Plesac
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 We better not see Chatwood whining about being pulled earlier than he'd like again this year.
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 montoyo is so smart always one step ahead
jaysguy44 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Montoya is an absolute moron, can't wait until they get rid of that guy

Such pathetic all around.
204BJs Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Someone needs to ask montoyo the hard questions post game. I'd love to hear him giggle his way thru that

Unfortunately, it looks like Charlie lost his copy. If we miss the playoffs by a game or two....ouch.
Slyfisher Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 f*** I haven't hated a blue jays manager more
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 and montoyo can play the bongos too. How many managers can do that?

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 This loss is extremely disrespectful to all those other guys in the bullpen. How the hell can you let a relief pitcher walk 4 in a row
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Well at least we have another Manoah start to look forwardto. Have a good whatever is left of your weekend.

43211234 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Chatwood must have given Charlie a beating behind closed doors when he was angry Montoyo yanked him. Chuckles too scared to go to the mound for the baseball!

Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 According to the other thread, managerial decisions have little to no impact on wins and losses. They don't. Chatwood walked several guys. That's why the Jays lost. If Chatwood is used in the first game instead of Romano and he does the same, they lose that one. If they bring in Castro one batter earlier, they still probably lose. Not very many managers would bring in Castro two batters earlier as you have to give Chatwood a chance to work it out.
ShowtimeBelli Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Remember Romano couldn't come in for a 2nd inning last week in extras???

He already lost us a game last week by walking guys.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 It almost felt like he tried to lose on purpose. Someone check his browser history for gambling sites.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 It almost felt like he tried to lose on purpose. Someone check his browser history for gambling sites. It does feel like that sometimes. Everyone could see Chatwood looked bad in the previous inning.
Slyfisher Verified Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 Putting Chatwood back out for the 7th after struggling in the 6th was dumb. Not taking him out after the 2nd straight walk was again stupid but not having someone up sooner warming up is just incompetent
King Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 I've never seen anything like this. If there's ever a fireable offense, this one is it
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2021 Posted May 30, 2021 There really isn’t a reason not to use Romano twice. I believe Liam Hendriks has pitched twice in a day on two occasions this year.
