So does Montoyo have the sense to pull Vladdy and Teo the rest of the game? Why risk injury under these conditions when you have Tellez and Davis on the bench.

Was just thinking the same thing. It's cold, slippery...get him out of the game already.

Why did Vladdy play defensively in the bottom of the sixth if he was going to be pinch hit for? You'd figure the only reason he was still in the game was because he was due to bat second in the top of the seventh. Charlie is seriously playing some 4D chess.

It's a blowout in the 7th in bad weather. Hopefully they have the common sense to just call the game.

Man Francona does not look healthy.

 

Agreed...never recognized him. My wife had cancer also and some of her meds made her gain weight also, so assuming this is the reason. But glad to see him back, was

a hug fan of Francona from his Expos days!

The Yankees lose to Detroit with Cole on the mound..lol. Yankees are 23rd in baseball in runs scored per game. The Jays are currently 4th and we're about to get springer and Biggio back and in a month we we will get Kirk back! Stanton returned for the Yanks last night, but Hicks is out for the season. Voit is gone for 2 more months. The bottom of the Yankees lineup is pretty ugly.

Voit is gone for 2 more months. The bottom of the Yankees lineup is pretty ugly.

Kluber also out, so outside of Cole I would say their rotation has a lot of question marks

They've still managed to somehow win 7 of their last 10 despite laiubg 2 to us.

This post reminds me of that one guy who used to post here often. Every single one of his posts was s***ing on the four A.L. East rivals or talking about their worst case scenarios while ridiculously positive on the Jays. To a comical effect. Thanks for bringing back fond memories of that guy.

I'll start crapping on the Yankees if/when the Jays are projected to have a better chance at a playoff spot than them.

 

I'm thinking Boston is closer as are maybe Cleveland?
