The only thing that suggests anything about the summer is from a US politician who WANTS it. The rest of the article makes it pretty clear what the Canadian government consider the steps to be and thresholds needed. The good news is both countries are making strong overall progress. It just sucks to wait the process out.

 

I am, however, going to be very curious about what happens to infection rates in the States now that the 40% of people not vaccinated basically just got free rein to pretend they are and throw away the masks. The fact it's almost summer now will help a LOT, but I suspect not enough.
