It's a shame that Tellez is not in there. Using Panik and Espinal in the same game doesn't seem smart. Although our offense has been trash all year anyways.

Looks like a defensive shake-up as a result of the sloppy infield play lately. Seems like they clearly wanted to get Semien at short and Espinal at third.

 

Only way to do all of the above and still get Tellez in the lineup would have been benching Bichette (DH) or Vladdy (1B). That's not happening, lol.

New attitude. Going to watch today & try to just be thankful we have ball on at all, and being more aware we still have a relatively young team & we wouldn't beat LAD anyway.

Just read on MLB trade rumours that Johnathan Lucroy is a free agent. The write up mentioned a struggling Lucroy at .248/.315 while we have Jansen at an outstanding .054/.146. Worth a look? I know they have 4 catchers on the 40 man already but they could send Kirk down for more seasoning and some sliding drills before he kills himself. Edited April 25, 2021 by spats

I'm still not concerned about the wins and losses. The most disappointing part of this season is every single young player taking a step back except Vlad. Some big steps back. Only April. Don't want get Ryu to be bombed, but it would be easier to take 9-7 losses with the young players not looking lost at the plate

 

This team, like the 2013 team, won't win until they get on base...

Joe Siddal said he expects to see Bo play some 2B this year. Really hope that does happen so we'll know Bo is putting his ego aside for the betterment of the team. He can still go back to SS but just happy the mainstream media is bringing this topic up.
