I really just can't understand why Zeuch is even in the organization to be honest.

 

Being a first rounder will get you a lot of rope, regardless of how awful you are. If he was a 13th rounder we probably wouldn't know who he was.

Why didn't Harper try to beat the shift with a grounder?

 

Situational hitting my friend. Not everyone should change their swing but this was 2 outs and no one on while up 3 runs... screw changing your swing. Try to smash.

 

I cant be the only one who understands this stuff. Has anyone here ever played baseball at all? Lol

There's a difference between "choking up and trying to put the ball in play" and "Sending a ground ball exactly 6.5' away from 3rd base because the 3rd baseman is 10' from the bag"

 

I mean, you've played baseball where you have to deal with guys throwing 85 tops, with a telegraphed curve and maybe a changeup. You simply cannot compare what you have done to hitting a MLB fastball, even one as generally poor as Zoinks.

Romano isn't a "prototypical closer" according to the Phillies' announcers. I mean, isn't "strikes out a lot of guys with some serious heat and doesn't allow many runs" kinda... prototypical?

You'll have to excuse them, they're Philly announcers so they haven't seen a good reliever of any kind lol.

Granted, that was a cookie, but still impressive for Espinal to take a 99 mph fastball by Alvarado deep.

 

Good to know he's waiting in the minors in case of injury. Always been intrigued by his profile
