As was I, yet you continue? This team isn't circling back for no DH, Grant. Semien took away any option at 3rd or DH, happy. They'll move to SP.

Ya we already have Grichuk/Tellez platooning, we don't have a need for a full like DH.

And going for a 3B at this stage would leave no position for Biggio. That would only happen if one of Gurriel/Biggio/Teo are part of a Bryant/Hendricks package, which is unlikely at this stage.

Our offense is set. Let's get a friggin starter.

I don't agree with your opinion that we only signed Semien because we lost out on Brantley. Their pursuit of a DH was independent of their search for a 3B. We weren't going to roll with Espinal/Vlad at 3B.

Trading an outfielder for a pitcher and signing someone is probably still on the table, despite your insistence that it is not.

See your 2nd paragraph. I would totally move Teo/Moreno/+ some other prospect for Bryant/Hendricks with the Cubbies eating some of the Bryant cash. No more stupid seed showers.

I never insisted the Jays wouldn't trade for a SP? Thought we were talking FA?

I don't know if you weren't following, but we pretty much signed a DH and it fell apart at the last minute.

The narrative at the time now was that it would free us up to trade a current outfielder for a starting pitcher. This is still an option for us. I don't know why you think signing Semien changed it.

Brantley would've played LF/DH yes... but... nevermind bro.

So you're saying we're getting Bauer or Bryant/Hendricks? There is no other way to read that tweet

There are 1000 different ways to read that

That's right. Very much the same defensive profile as Ozuna.

Toronto writers barely ever break stories about the jays all they do is hint at stuff. lame

Would you rather they pull a Hazel?

After Hazel, none of them are ever going to try to break a story. Being cryptic will get views/engagement too, so probably safer for them to go that route.

Its like that in basketball too. It's pretty sad that they can't find a single source within their own company/team lol.

They wait to announce the sources? Unless you want a BS story?!

nothing wrong with minor league deals. Danny Salazar has crossed my mind, but I'm not entirely sure his arm is still attached to his body.

I agree... I posted in another thread that there is nothing but upside with moves like these.
