Russell Martin showed that there are no such things as home country discounts but at least he wouldn't be totally objected to the idea.

He isn't in for Canada discount seeing as how it went last time, we were connected.

 

It's almost as if your hometown being a 5 hour plane ride away from Toronto doesn't qualify it as a hometown discount candidate!

The trade for Musgrove is pending medical reviews, per sources, and will be sending a large package of prospects back to the Pirates. Hudson Head, a well-regarded center fielder, is expected to be among the group heading to Pittsburgh.

I respect the Padres for being one of like 3 teams this offseason who have actually behaved like they care about winning games.

How is it possible for one team to trade for Darvish, Snell and Musgrove in the same off season!

 

And only trade one Top 100 prospect in Patino.

 

Kind of crazy now that I'm saying it out loud.

Darvish was the deal that seemed light to me out of the three. I wish the Jays would have been in on Darvish.

Padres will regret that one. Musgrove is overrated and Hudson Head is going to be very good.

 

I know the Padres have managed to hold onto many of their very top prospects through all this, other than Patino, but guys like Head and Hunt are very solid spects and with so many names out the door there will be other guys who turn into all stars.

 

Padres have to win now.

 

They are affecting their farm more than people admit. It will take a while to restock the depth.
