John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 His suit was too tight. Yup. Those pants.... looks like 2 eggs in a hanky
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 His suit was too tight. Robbie Ray is proof that tighter suit = tighter command
Governator Community Moderator Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Natural throwing errors are up and away (ball slips out) or down and in (hang on too long). Connor's is in an unnatural direction. On purpose! Fook baseball
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 Fook baseball Hey... leave the Irish alone, h8er!!!
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted September 22, 2021 Posted September 22, 2021 As someone who has had enough mishaps throwing a ball and has seen it happen enough times, you can completely tell he was aiming exactly where he threw it. I wish the media would present it like that instead of giving him what he wants. I'd much prefer if they called him out as a douchebag for making a spectacle out of a nice tradition. I really hate that the world has turned into this ********. I must have seen 5 headlines this morning sensationalizing this nonsense that was clearly staged.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 The Cards are on fire, I wouldn't want to face them in a 1 game playoff, even if it were the Dodgers or Giants.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Hey... leave the Irish alone, h8er!!! Connor isn't even Irish...it's a heel gimmick he plays

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Has Kimbrel ever s*** the bed, lol. Wow, trying to get him right in a low leverage role.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Relievers are so unbelievably volatile. I wanted the Jays to snag Kimbrel big time. He was damn near unhittable with the Cubs. You basically have to toss 50 pieces of crap at a wall and see which 10 or so stick to build a bullpen.

Kimbrel was ridiculous with the Cubs surrendering all of 2 earned runs in 36 innings. With the White Sox he's surrendered 12 earned runs in only 19 innings. Given what was given up for Kimbrel I'm certainly glad it's the White Sox that have to deal with trying to turn him around and not the Jays. Edited September 23, 2021 by max silver
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Kimbrel just doesn't seem to deal with change well. Every time he switches teams or gets moved or whatever he seems to take a looooong time to settle in. Then suddenly he's nails again. Very odd
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 "reliable reliever" is an oxymoron, except for freaks like Hader and a few others
max silver Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 "reliable reliever" is an oxymoron, except for freaks like Hader and a few others Even Aroldis Chapman has seen some sizeable chinks start to appear in his armor.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 23, 2021 Posted September 23, 2021 Even Aroldis Chapman has seen some sizeable chinks start to appear in his armor. He's back and scary.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 More Juan Soto epicness. Hope he can keep this up against the Red Sox.
BTS Community Moderator Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Juan Soto is 22 years old and has a 0.470 OBP. That doesn’t even make sense.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Juan Soto is 22 years old and has a 0.470 OBP. That doesn’t even make sense. .500+ since August 1st... his OBP, lol
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 He needs to get IBB’d with the bases loaded to take the next step
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 So we credit y'all with that theme
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Soto has more IBBs than Ks this month. That's Bonds level. Nats lineup, often no reason to be anywhere near the zone with Soto at the plate
King Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 So Juan Soto is basically the greatest hitter of all time right? Considering that pitching now is as good as its ever been
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 So Juan Soto is basically the greatest hitter of all time right? Considering that pitching now is as good as its ever been OBP north of 500 that's mind blowing? Sorry since August 1st... lol
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 So Juan Soto is basically the greatest hitter of all time right? Considering that pitching now is as good as its ever been Its nasty how good his numbers are right now considering how bad he was to start the season. And so young still, gotta think there will be more power out of his bat as he ages into his mid-late 20s. He’s such an advanced hitter at such an early age.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Seattle swept the A's... that's whack!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Vladito @ 6.9 fWAR, lol... someone pinch me.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 Trade for soto Soto and Vlad in the same lineup. Would probably top Manny and Ortiz.
