Laika Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 The super smart, advanced metrics Rays looked like they were going to let Glas pitch the inning if he didn’t get in trouble. Go figure If Nate Pearson ever figures it out he'll get special treatment too.
Jaysareus Verified Member Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I get the feeling Nate Pearson will never figure it out
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 I get the feeling Nate Pearson will never figure it out In 2018 you probably would’ve traded Giolito for a pack of bubble gum
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Lol at that call. I love that the Yankees are on the wrong end of them for once though.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 HP ump in that game was trash, although that statement could apply to every MLB game played.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 The balls are flying out of Dodger stadium this series jeez
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 The balls are flying out of Dodger stadium this series jeez Either the lack of fans is changing the air currents in the stadium, or MLB has juiced the balls again to try to increase scoring and pad the ratings. This is getting kind of silly.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Man. Arozarena is on fire right now!
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Arozarena... so hot right now! sohotrightnow.gif
Ray Verified Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 It’s gonna suck facing Randy Arozarena and Wander Franco for 3 years before the Rays have to trade them away because of payroll constraints.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I give up. The Rays are making, and possibly winning the World Series. I just have to accept this.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I give up. The Rays are making, and possibly winning the World Series. I just have to accept this. Better than the Marlins!

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Rays pushing Yanks poo in!
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 would you rather have the Yankees or the Astros there? f*** the Yankees....Go Rays! I want Astros for maximum chaos. preferably against the Dodgers.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 would you rather have the Yankees or the Astros there? f*** the Yankees....Go Rays! Yes. I want Yankees/Dodgers or Astros/Dodgers. The former for the betterment of the sport (NY and LA would draw ratings), and the latter because they hate each other and it would be intense. The Rays are a great team, but also represent everything that is wrong in the sport. If they make/win the WS, just watch how teams emulate them by being cheap as hell and "optimizing" rosters.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 I want Astros for maximum chaos. preferably against the Dodgers. Yeah with the Yankees looking like s***, that would be the best matchup. No one is going to throw at each other in a WS, but those teams hate each other, and that's what creates excitement. The Rays/Braves would be the worst because I'd have to either root for the Rays or root for AA, and I refuse to do either one. That would be the worst case scenario.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 Stanton's a beast, lol.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 not watching... McClanahan look good aside from the dinger?
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 not watching... McClanahan look good aside from the dinger? Yeah he's nasty. Hit 101 with an upper 80's curve.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 8, 2020 Author Posted October 8, 2020 not watching... McClanahan look good aside from the dinger? Filthy, triple digits from the left side. Made Gardner look dumb, lol.

The Rays are everything that is wrong with the game because they don't buy championships. Ok. Reverse that statement and it would be more accurate. Let's cheer against the team that's done the most with the least. Teams aren't going to spend less because the Rays drafted well and traded for guys who nobody wanted. Most teams could have afforded Charlie Morton. The Yankees have 27 championships and more recently they haven't won their championships on a level playing field. KC won a championship. Teams didn't spend less after that. They just started over paying relievers! I could care less if a bunch of arrogant Yankee fans choose not to watch the world series because they Yankees are out.
