They may but I'd be interested on how they feel with the shortened season and expanded playoffs. If we do make the playoffs and extend our season they may be willing to open up the wallet a little bit considering that the Jays are basically free content for them.

Barreto has been a bust but maybe he figures it out with the Angels. He still has upside. Not sure we could have beat that trade.

What do you guys think of Eduardo Escobar as a trade target? The Diamondbacks are starting to look like sellers and may want to move on from his contract and see what they have with Kevin Cron at 3B.

 

Escobar is off to a terrible start, but the salary is reasonable and his underlying stats look decent.

Fair points. Bundy scares me. Lynn is the guy I really want. He gives you a chance to win this year, and next year.

Idk. Obviously Lynn is much safer/better but he was just really good last year too so I imagine he’ll cost something of value. Really Jays make playoffs anyway so you’re talking few playoff games, if you can get Gausman/Bundy for some guys that’ll likely never play (impact I guess) in the majors, you’d have to consider

 

I know there’s the extra year so I guess depends what cost is.

He's a quality pitcher with a very reasonable contract next year. It will be interesting to see how much they can get if they do trade him.

 

I'd include Groshans in a deal. The rest of this board would not though...lol.

I would not handle it if Groshans turns into a stud for the next decade and we traded him for a mid 30s pitcher. Would be like the Syndergaard trade.

Right? I am open to moving anyone in the roster but if you're moving Groshans the target should be a pitcher like Plesac.

I can’t see Atkins giving up a better centrepiece than Moreno or maybe Kloff for 1.5 seasons of Lynn. This season is such a crapshoot, it wouldn’t make any sense to give up SWR or Groshans.

I could maybe see someone like Guriel Jr. going back. I think he has a extra year of control. Will be interesting if it happens. I just want Atkins to buy all the players and give up nothing dammit!
