Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Not correct, his lead foot can’t cross the rubber and he has to clearly step towards first. He can’t step towards home and throw to first. His foot landed maybe a foot off line from home Lefties get so much rope on pickoffs, definitely shouldn’t be allowed IMO

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 OMFG Vlad hit a fly ball!!!!!
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Vladdy! Not swinging at junk, got into a 3-0 count and lifted the ball in the air!
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Meh, I wouldn't really say so. He showed this quality changeup in the Tampa game and the fastball was getting swings and misses in the Washington game. His stuff has been good this year, it's his command of those pitches where the problems have arisen His velocity looks slightly up though, which can make a big difference

Even the home team announcers were laughing their asses off that a balk wasn't called. https://cuts.diamond.mlb.com/FORGE/2020/2020-07/29/f15b611e-5668511a-6a3ac111-csvm-diamondx64-asset_1280x720_59_4000K.mp4
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I have a feeling we’re going to make a few trades with the Braves when the season is all said and done. We need to move a starter or 2. Chase Anderson has no place on this team for one.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Holy s***...thought was routine fly.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Vlad rocked a baseball in the air!!!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 That's what I meant about the foot, lol. I didn't word it right. Well you were half right. Once the lead foot crosses his back leg there’s only 2 places he can go...home, or to 2b if there’s a runner there.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Noice, Vladdy w/ a double in the air to the opposite field. That's a good sign. 101 MPH off the bat as well.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I know Vladdy is fat but that was an easy triple if he was running the whole way. Looks like he was jogging and watching it.

They could really solve this issue with a simple solution too. Draw a line at 45 degrees between the rubber and the plate. If the guys footdoesn’t land on the side of the line towards first, or right on the line, balk.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Grichuk hasn't quite tapped into his power yet this season but he's seeing the ball really well and hitting line drives left and right which is a great sign going forward.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 I know John, I pitched. Really? I always figured you for a catcher......if ya know what I mean
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 101.8 MPH, 28°, 390 ft, XBA .830
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Vladdy absolutely BURNING UP THE BASES
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Send out the ground crew, there’s a crater at home plate now
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Acuña has a cannon, I'm baffled as to why Riley cut that off.
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Vladdie almost lost his lunch, but he scored
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Good AB by Jansen to hang around and get that ball to the OF. Thought they had a chance at plate.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Don't know why the Braves cut that throw off, but thank you.
