Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 I know it was a cross up, but a major league baseball umpire cannot miss a strike that's square in the middle of the zone.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 That non-strike call to Duvall has to be the worst call of the year
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Not with the way they are hitting Maybe our pitching will get us through???
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Author Posted August 6, 2020 It was a crossup, but that's our umpires.
WILLIEUPSHAW Verified Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Tony Bass The bullpen has been a bright spot in this season so far (excluding Gaviglio, Yamaguchi and Giles). Really nice to see our Canadian boy Romano breaking through and looks like a keeper in the relief role! Also Kay is a nice result early in this season. BUT for me, the highlight so far is not having to listen to the moronic musings of Tabler and instead we get the excellent work of Shulman in play by play. Objective #1 for Rogers and the Jays should be to get this guy calling all the games next season.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Great win tonight and solid pitching. Obligatory:
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 It was a crossup, but that's our umpires. I understand a crossup like that affecting a borderline pitch...but missing one right down the middle, is your entire philosophy to only watch where and how the catcher catches the ball without actually watching the pitch?

When he did SNB, it was once a week. When he did Jays games, he was already in Toronto. Now, he's doing games from Toronto. I don't know if they can make it happen.
BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2020 Posted August 6, 2020 Alright good work Spanky, kindly continue & make another GDT today you're on a winning streak!
