Beans Verified Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Let's not put money on it, but let's get some bold predictions in before Opening Day. Here are some of mine: Houston does not reach postseason Minnesota beats Yankees in postseason, wins ALCS, and reaches World Series Washington does not reach postseason Diamondbacks win 100 games A-Rod part of new Mets ownership, sparks new chapter in feud with Jeter All of baseball carries out mutiny against Manfred I'll add more later.
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 None of the first five regular season starters for the Jays are in our rotation by the end of the year. The Dodgers win 120 games but still fail in the postseason. Aaron Sanchez makes a glorious comeback, ending with him pitching in the World Series. After Mookie Betts signs an extension with the Dodgers, Marcus Stroman secures the highest contract in the free agent market. This year’s surprise team will be.... the Detroit Tigers.

wilko Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Biggio produces more WAR than any other batter on the Jays.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Biggio produces more WAR than any other batter on the Jays. Not very bold. He did that last season.
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Not very bold. He did that last season. And he'll do it again!
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 1 - Jays finish just under .500 with the worst team UZR in baseball 2 - Goldbull wins the LoD on the back of Garrett Cooper true break out 3 - Houston team wRC+ falls under 105. 4 - Tommy Edman hits under 85 wRC+ and loses starting playing time by June. 5 - Nate Pearson is called up by June and instantly becomes a front line starter 6 - Minnesota Twins win the world series 7 - Grant becomes a Boston Red Sox fan 8 - Jim and i become best friends 9 - LA Dodgers somehow don't win the NL.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Biggio produces more WAR than any other batter on the Jays. He's their best player, man. Vlad gets all the hype. Bo gets all the ladies. Biggio gets all the walks.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Jays win the second wild card spot, Pearson starts the game and throws a gem. We lose in the ALDS
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 (edited) Chicago White Sox Win the WS Arizona Diamondbacks win the NLCS AL ROY Nick Madrigal NL ROY Tie: Daulton Varsho & Dylan Carlson NL Cy Young - Zac Gallen AL Cy Young a Cleveland Indians pitcher, just not sure which one. Reese outperforms Jansen in offensive and defensive metrics Four Blue Jays SPs outperform Ryu, one of them named Ryan Aceucki. Ryu's ERA jumps 2 full points Ryu does not surpass 22 starts Carlos Danger sweeps the Fantasy awards with best fantasy player, most annoying fantasy player, and rookie of the year fantasy player. Carlos Danger does not really PM his address to Beans and Beans never knows when and where the 50 dudes will be at Carlos Danger's house. Nick quits the legal field, becomes a part time hair model and accepts a full time gig writing for Fangraphs. He shares desk space and his log- on password with Sheryl Ring. Boxy is convinced by BTS to go to anger management classes. Boxy gets kicked out of anger management classes for being too angry. They won't refund his money he paid for the classes and he becomes even angrier then when he started the anger management classes. I concur with the projection that Vlad finishes the year in 3rd place on the Blue Jays offensively. 1. Biggio 2. Bichette I project I will get really sick of Randall Grickuck by the end of the year. Hatch is the next Blue Jays closer... Bass will lead the team in holds Giles will either be hurt (on IL) or traded by August. Blue Jays inning limit on Pearson will send fans and Fantasy owners into winter long depression. Edited February 26, 2020 by Carlos Danger

SAAviour Verified Member Posted February 26, 2020 Posted February 26, 2020 Vlad, Bo, Biggio combine for 16 WAR. Jays make wild card. Yanks collapse when Cole blows his elbow. Pearson is our best starter. Houston crumble under the pressure. Dodgers finally win it all.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Damn didn't see you post that. I wanted to be the lone Mets backer. They will surprise people. Yeah 11-1 to win the NL pennant just isn't good enough juice though. Barely 4 to 1 to win the NL East as 4th favourite is weak too.
