Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 So close to a trainwreck. You'd think someone like Alford, with his injury history, would be not only be yelling for the ball before catching it, but for about 10 feet after.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 funny listening to Judge praise Cole after ripping the 2017 Astros

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Good lord Who are these commentators. The best they can come up with is Canada is a big country and we are nice people. How about some baseball Give these guys a break, it's the first game of ST and they have literally nothing to talk about but early injuries and the Astros' scandal. There are absolutely no other storylines to focus on and most fans watching and probably themselves don't know who half the players are. The Yankees crew is generally quite enjoyable during the season.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Yeah sure, I understand, but it was overkill. lol.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Lets go, Moran! Cool story.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Nice approach from Alford !
Beans Verified Member Posted February 22, 2020 Author Posted February 22, 2020 funny listening to Judge praise Cole after ripping the 2017 Astros "But Cole wasn't on the 2017 Astros team, bro!" We're going to see a lot more cognitive dissonance in the next few years when many of the Astros players inevitably change teams in Free Agency/trades.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Alford gonna have to keep getting knocks to make this team....nice start.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 there's no denying Alford's speed....the dude has some amazing wheels for such a big guy.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Alford steals 3 bags in an inning, including home, unofficially, lol.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Alford steals 3 bags in an inning, including home, unofficially, lol. It's official, 3 bags.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 Alford as a lottery ticket 4th OF is better than Tellez starting at DH. Hoping he wins a spot. I’m not a Fisher fan but if someone is going to pull a 2017 Justin Smoak I’d bet on Fisher before Tellez.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 It's official, 3 bags. Yeah, good s***.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 I think it's fair to say after the first game of spring training that the Jays > the Yankees and should win well over 100 games this season.
