The Braves have scored 29 runs against Miami tonight. Adam Duvall has 9 RBI.

Brewers win 19-0 and The Braves win 29-2.

I wonder what the record is for most runs two teams combined to score in one night. 48 has to be up there.

I don't know, but I think 29 is one off the modern-day record for a single team.

Lighting must have been TERRIBLE.

It is a new NL record. The Rangers beat the...Orioles 30-3 in 2007, lmfao

How did the Dodgers manage to turn Graterol and Treinen into 'pitch to contact' relievers? 4.32 K/9 and 6.75 K/9 respectfully

They've pitched like 20 innings, sinkers aren't conducive to strikeouts in today's game, and neither has good enough command of their primary pitch to get by on velocity and movement alone. Graterol will likely develop the strikeout ability, in the minors it's probably a lot easier to get strikeouts with a 100 mph sinker than in the majors. Treinen might regress to career averages but he's not the same reliever he was two years ago, the lower strikeouts are probably a counter to the reduced walk rate.

Dustin May also rarely strikes guys out. I don't think it's necessarily a coaching issue, it's what the player's stuff is about.

The Cubs beat the Phillies 26-23 in 1922.

That's nuts

Usually the big scoring results in a blowout

That game was actually semi close

That was the average score in my kids Rookie Ball team last year. The games are really exciting if you love offense and hate defense!

I remember those days

Pretty much any ball put in play clears the bases LOL

The Cubs jumped out to a 25-6 lead after 4(!!) Innings, but the Philles scored 14 in the final 2 innings to make it close. I can only imagine the poor manager pulling out his hair.

Fifty years later the Phillies got their revenge and beat the Cubs 23-22 in extra innings against Bruce Sutter. I'd love to see video of that one.

Texas Rangers batting Odor and his 15wRC+ in the 2 hole today lol.

Why do people still think he's good? Even his traditional stats are awful, .145 avg, .200 obp, 3 homers. Negative value defense.

It's weird, 'cause he's never been "good"

He's had 3 above average seasons, 2 below average seasons and a couple around average. He's been worth 6.5 WAR in his 7 year career. I mean, that's just not a good player, I don't care how many times he punches a much better player in the face.

That slash line is a real punch in the face
