Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Look, you may have not enjoyed the adventures of Teoscar in the outfield, Bo and Biggio occasionally botching a routine grounder, or Vlad struggling to keep himself balanced due to his weight. Just consider yourself lucky we don't have to witness this on a daily basis. https://bdata-producedclips.mlb.com/730e95ab-deea-4122-9b70-2c881bba10f5.mp4 Lmao... if you have told me he was playing drunk I would have believed you. I died when be went into the stands despite having plenty of room to stop. He didn’t he look like he was moving that fast lol.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 He's been excellent this season in all three of his starts. I'm rooting for him now that he's away from the Orioles, and god knows the Angels could use him healthy and pitching to his potential. Nothing better than watching guys leaving the Orioles and winning Cy Young awards elsewhere while Ubaldo Jimenez toils away in their rotation

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 7, 2020 Posted August 7, 2020 Toiled away LOL Arietta. Just funny if the same happened with Bundy now Bundy's fastball has always been super hittable. So far he's dropped it's usage way down (43% last year, 33% this year). It will be interesting to see if the Angels can unlock potential. He's velo is below average now so I'm not holding my breath.

It's really awful stuff

Insane: The coach is a nazi who decided to out himself to his co-workers with cameras running. Almost everyone in the twitter thread believes that he's a nazi who should be fired immediately. Social media was a mistake.

I think it's fine to make an apology in light of that being captured on camera, but I am totally in agreement that by no means did he intend to make a Nazi salute or believe that he is a Nazi because he made a joking gesture which he didn't realize was the Nazi salute. The man does not need to be fired or even disciplined further than issuing an apology as he did.

The woke whites just found another target, that's it. They are fueled by faux outrage. It's not like you saw large Jewish groups come out and denounce this horrid act. The ironic part is that these same people kinda treat Jews like s*** too.

Yeah. Just publishing that shows a complete lack of journalistic integrity, and Oakland should have told anyone complaining to kick rocks. No paying customer was going to boycott them over this stupid s***.

I think the outrage is stupid and believe his side of the story, but he did a stupid thing and it was caught on camera, so it's okay to admit "my bad". It's a part of the job when there are cameras all around you.

To explain, I think you've moved it beyond a baseball-related discussion with some unnecessary generalizations. I don't see the need for typing "the woke whites... are fueled by faux outrage... [and ironically] treat Jews like s***". I hope you can appreciate the line crossed. Consider this a warning!!!

Social media was a mistake. The problem is every possible gesture, topic, discussions can offend somebody even without intention. It's so easy to express words without any thought or meaning on social media and it's a completely open platform. A harmless gesture can offend 0.1% of the population and they become a vocal minority. Twitter has 330 million registered accounts. Even 99.9% of them don't care about a topic, offending 0.1% of those people is still 330,000 people. It's absurd. Even if just 5 people get offended, a voice that influences others & their tweet gets blown way out of proportion. Edited August 8, 2020 by BlueRocky
