Laika Community Moderator Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Jacob DeGrom's fastball is averaging an obscene 98.6 mph this year, about 2 mph higher than 2019. His average FB velo is higher than almost every reliever with an 80 grade fastball. Airing it out in a short season? Freak of nature gets better? About the have his arm fall off?

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 You've jerked off in an alley? This is all hypothetical.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 You've jerked off in an alley? Bowling alley. Anyone who has complained about sticking on the lane...Boxy's load
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Bowling alley. Anyone who has complained about sticking on the lane...Boxy's load How generous of you to think I am capable of such massive loads
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 You forgot "in an alley or otherwise discreet spot that isn't a dollar tree parking lot with loud music and vape smoke pouring out of the vehicle" Yeah I know, that was stupid on his part. Good thing he wasnt drunk because that may have been the end of his Blue Jay career
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Who released it? It seems to me releasing a video of something like that should get the same penalty as he got for doing it That scumbag Harvey Levin at TMZ pays for videos like that. A lot of money too. If its the right celebrity a video can fetch $100K or more. I doubt the cop got $100K for Reese's video, but I wouldnt be surprised if it was around $10,000 or so
Ehjays Verified Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Just watched it. Reese is such a nice kid, was one of my favorite players prior and I don't give a jack what he did, he still is!! I can't believe someone would actually search it up to view it, was it everything you had hoped for
Ex Player Verified Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I can't believe someone would actually search it up to view it, was it everything you had hoped for Uhm, the video has been all over the internet. You dont have to search for it at all
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I'm not surprised that the Marlins are excited to play, since most of their team is now guys who really shouldn't be anywhere near an MLB roster.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Ohtani forearm strain Will not throw for at least 4 to 6 weeks He will stay on the active roster. Day to day as a DH.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Can we just end Ohtani as a pitcher already? This guy is going to waste his whole career.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Can we just end Ohtani as a pitcher already? This guy is going to waste his whole career. He has 70-grade speed and probably a 70 arm in the OF. It's painful watching him toil away at DH when he's probably a 5-win RF if he commits to it full time.

It is - but he was also lights out on the mound and the mere fact he was so good both pitching and hitting creating a unique and tantalizing experiment. The type of s*** that MLB needs. Unfortunately, some experiments fail. It's truly awful for MLB and the Angels.

Ray Verified Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Luis Alexander Basabe, a semi-interesting switch hitting CF prospect who was a filler piece in the Chris Sale/Yoan Moncada trade, was just DFA'd by the White Sox He's seemingly hit a wall in AA, but he's still young (23), and has hit decently well in the lower levels of the minors. He also turned on Hunter Greenes 101 mph fastball in the Futures Game a couple years ago: Could be an intriguing pickup because he's a toolsy CF, but I'd imagine the Tigers will probably snap him up.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Osuna TJS before Giles is a win for the Jays!
glory Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 That’s TJ #2 for Osuna. He has a better chance of recovering than a SP would, but he’s out until 2022 at the earliest. Career definitely in jeopardy.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Osuna TJS before Giles is a win for the Jays! Technically, I think Giles went on the DL prior and we still don't know what his long term prognosis is.. I am not confident because I think the only reason he is not a Yankee is because they did not like his medicals last year and think his issues are more long term then short...

We can safely assume his tendons are barely intact. Montoya will do the rest Remember last month a lot of folks here were on the Giles extension bandwagon
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Still no Juan Soto tonight. Jim and King: you guys doing alright?
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 I can't believe someone would actually search it up to view it, was it everything you had hoped for Reese was my back-up catcher on two of my Fantasy teams. I feel it is the responsibility of each Fantasy team manager to know everything about each of their players and issues that could affect their on field performance and mental state of mind. Since the video was released, I have since called his family and left messages with his mom and grandma to make sure everyone is ok. As I type this, I have some baked goods cooking in the oven I am going to send to Reese's Great Grandmother since I heard she loves Cinabons.

Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Still no Juan Soto tonight. Jim and King: you guys doing alright? I'm still getting it down in the one league I own Soto, so I'm good. With Soto, it will be a steamroller.

BlueRocky Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 No longer 30->28->26, it will stay at 28 after Thursday. Taxi Squad expand to 5 players. Bring home Alejandro Kirk, Austin Martin, and Patrick Murphy from Rochester!
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Luis Patino is joining the Padres ahead of Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports. He will be used out of the bullpen initially. One of the game's top pitching prospects, Patino won't turn 21 until October but he has reportedly been lights out at the alternate training site.
