Am I the only one who's really not a fan of Waggis Pack?

He's been okay, but he's just a long relief guy when down in games, really. He'll be optioned now if he hasn't already.

Can we stick a fork in Shaw yet?

He looks 40 years old and his indicators don’t seem any/much better than last year. It appears his physical skills just fell off a cliff.

I get that he will stick on the roster all year regardless. Not really any other 3B options unless you throw Vlad back over there. And really why not...

His average EV and hard hit rates are both elite. I know he gets shifted, but his xWOBA going into this game was like .376. He hits the ball quite hard when he connects.

He also had an OPS north of .900 the other day, I'm not worried on him.

Is anyone actually a fan of Waguespack? I've actually been rather impressed with him. Considering he's a mop up/long man and keeps getting dicked around between the taxi squad and the active roster he's gotten more swings and misses than I expected and ate up some necessary innings. Not the worst guy in his current role and the projections aren't awful. He has a nice enough pitch mix that he isn't just getting rocked all the time.

Wagu is solid. Better than i expected after last year when he was just meh. Gaviglio on the other hand has to go, guys throwing 88 mph poop up there with no command and s*** secondaries. Don't know how he survived in the org this long.

I guess the key point is "when he connects." The K rate is very bad.

His exit velocity being up so much vs. career norms is very interesting though. At this point in the season both the K rate and the EV are starting to cross the line in the sand where we can say they were probably descriptive of his actual talent level, to some extent, during his first 19 games (it can no longer be assumed to be mostly random variance.)

With his new 33% strikeout rate characteristic he might need to hit the ball like Sano or Schwarber to be an average player.

He’s fine as a mop up guy. We’re just spoiled with an elite bullpen and Waggy sticks out like a sore thumb.

He's doing his job, what more can you ask for? Practically threw out his arm today.

Jansen has a .150 BABIP and had a .230 BABIP last year while his minor league rate was more high 200s low 300s. There's some regression to the mean there. If he hits at all like he did in 2018 he's elite, that would be getting some luck to get ball in play to be around .270 again.

I guess. I'd just rather see a couple of other guys (Murphy, Murray, Diaz) get a few outings from the pen to see how their stuff plays up. I think their ceilings are higher than Pack's and I'd like to see it. Admittedly, it's probably a little of a selfish viewpoint...seeing as there's no Minor League Ball this season I'm looking for even a glimpse of a few more spects that are on the cusp of cracking the majors. I think we all know what Waggy is. I want to see what a few of the other guys might be.

When does Fisher come back? I haven't heard anything about him.

His in Rochester right now working. Probably soon?

I think he took 2 routine pop flies to each eye.

How many starting pitchers have we had go 6 innings for us this season?

Ryu has done it twice. And Shoemaker once.

Did anyone read the athletic article on the Jays alternate training site.

Sounds like Manoah is coming back from some kind of arm injury. They said he and Luciano are ramping up on a throwing program

Also sounds like Groshans and Martin are struggling to keep up with the more advanced pitching
