Osuna had a pretty good outing in game 3 -he really challenged them with the heater and succeeded. I don't know what to think of this guy (seems obviously a wife-beater), BUT he deserves a chance to move past that especially since he is a pretty young guy.

However, I want the Washington Expos to win this series, and I hope they do it off of Osuna in the clinching game.

I'm f***ING GLAD THEY HAVE OSUNA. REALLY f***ing glad.

Corbin getting roughed up early.

Man if the Astros hold this one and have Cole and Verlander in the next two games, I might have to revise the team of destiny thing about the Nats. Firing that assistant must have been the sacrifice the baseball gods wanted.

Ratings for this series are record lows. MLB really needed the Yankees/Dodgers to happen.

And he's just going to leave Rodney flapping in the wind out there

He might as well get his fill of the Rodney experience tonight so he's not tempted to relive it later.

Where has it been reported that ratings are bad

Just random links from Google search:

On the bright side, Game 5 of a 2-2 series on a Sunday night with Cole/Scherzer on the mound might help.

I just like seeing more eyeballs on MLB. Won't happen this year unfortunately with the WS matchup.

The ratings hit definitely makes sense given the last few world series have involved the Redsox, Dodgers, Cubs, Mets, etc.

Yeah, this is definitely the least interesting matchup since 2014, which I can't even type without wanting to dose off (KC/SFG). This is just one of those years where it will be hard to get non baseball fans to care as much. Although I am glad Soto is getting a big stage like this. For what he is doing at age 20, he is going to be one of the top stars in the game.

If non baseball fans aren't interested by elite starting pitching, elite hitters, stars that are young, old and in their primes, then they weren't ever going to become baseball fans. Holy f***, it's like it can only be a matchup between the Yankees and Dodgers every year for anyone to care, why even have a regular season then? Just let the top 8 markets make the playoffs every year, that'll be good for baseball! What a f***ing crock of s***.

These two teams have some of the very best players in the game. I can't see how you could look away from some of these pitcher/hitter match-ups.

If you put Yankees and Dodgers uniforms on the players in this series, it would change everything about it from a ratings standpoint. Reality is ratings are down for this for the same reason they were down when the Royals and Giants played each other. It's the teams, not the players. This isn't the NBA where LeBron could play for freakin Cleveland, go up against an unbeatable team, and still have fans watch it knowing it will be a one sided bloodbath. Baseball is regional with very few mainstream appealing franchises. You could have two all star teams playing in this series and the ratings wouldn't change. Of course if you don't care about that stuff then none of this matters, but if the Jays are out of it, then I like when the game is heavily featured and talked about. It's not right now, for the reasons I mentioned.

I wonder how much of the ratings issues has to do with it only being available on Fox Sports in the US? People are changing the way they consume media. Maybe MLB needs to allow everyone to have the rights to broadcast the games, including online, but they have to pay a certain amount per eyeball that tunes in or something. This year's ratings really don't look out of line with the recent trend.

and Max is scratched with neck spasms. Joe Ross to start Game 5.

OUCH.

That sucks. I mean I know I want the Astros to win, but seeing Scherzer vs Cole is a treat. It's that kind of thing that makes this match up so enticing.
