My guess is they'll get one 23-24 year old that's kind of fizzled out but might be a depth piece somewhere in the organization. Plus one 19-20 year old that is moderately regarded... Probably high risk to actually make anything of himself but has some intriguing tools. I don't think either will crack the Jays top 30.

Yea that’s your fear with trading with a team like Rays. They just have much smarter front office that’s seemingly ahead of the curve in a lot of areas despite limited resources. The good thing is getting anything useful for Sogard is a plus. Spring invite success stories are always fun.

It's already been reported that the Jays are choosing 2 among a group of 4 pitchers that the Rays made available.

The reason why they are called "players to be named later" is because GM's want to see how well these players have performed at the end of the season. Right now its too early because their minor L. season isnt complete yet

Atkins said at the time of the trade that they'd know something "within a month". Also, IIRC the reporting suggested that there were two groups, and the first PTBNL would come from group A and the second from group B.
