Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Pretty cool to watch this SD ATL game with 2 young CANADIAN throwing the ball well. Really nice to see Cal sitting 94-96.

Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 Because it went SO well when they streamed them on Facebook... TBF you don’t have to login to YouTube and it’s main use is for watching stuff, so it’s a much better fit.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Giants are doing some ugly things to the Rockies lol. 12-0 in the 3rd.

Did you hear that Abom, I'd never have thunk that Dave Winfield was drafted for all the big 4 sports, MLB/NFL/NBA and the NHL... that's insane?!

He wasn't drafted in 4 major sports, but 4 major sports leagues. He was drafted in the MLB, NFL, NBA and ABA, the latter two being basketball.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 And exactly what NHL drafted him? Ask the Rockies announcer... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 d'Arnaud has been scorching hot since going to the Rays, 3 home runs tonight
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 d'Arnaud has been scorching hot since going to the Rays, 3 home runs tonight A 3 run HR for his third vs Chapman with two out in the ninth to put the Rays up 5-4. Got to love it.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 That home run by d'Arnaud looked like a lazy fly ball off the bat. Live by the Yankee Stadium porch, die by it as well.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Anyone else notice how s***** the Cardinals season has been? DeJong's wRC+ had dipped down to 103 Goldy's wRC+ 105 Wong's back down in the mid 80's Harrison Bader has the sophomore slump at 76 Carpenter's at 86 Jose Martinez is at 101 Mikolas and Flaherty turned back into pumpkins Carlos Martinez and Reyes can't stay healthy - both might be pen pieces now Andrew Miller looks done....are they using him as a LOOGY? 41 games, 28 1/3 innings pitched this year Wacha looks done Hicks is hurt Dakota Hudson BB/9 is over 4 I mean f*** me - that's basically the opposite of the Twins season. I don't like the Cards, but man, what a s*** show that must be for fans.

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 Fangraphs integrated RosterResource into their website, which now has in-depth information about every organization's depth charts. It's a bit busy in terms of colours and the way the tables are created so it'll probably get some getting used to but this is a fantastic addition. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/introducing-rosterresource-depth-charts/ https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/blue-jays

Roster Resource was always the first place I’d go to check options, bookmarks now updated!
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Lorenzen just came in as a pinch runner, in the 9th, in a tie game, and stole second base. Some pitchers are actually fun to watch doing things other than pitching.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 That low wind rumble in this HOU-LAA game is really, really annoying when you have headphones on.

Laika Community Moderator Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 Am I crazy or did we not use Stroman for the same thing from time to time? Yeah I remember him pinch running. Not stealing bases, but pinch running for fatties. Then he blew his knee out...
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 It's kind of sad to me that Kyle Schwarber kinda sucks. The guy transforms his body to make himself defensively viable and now it's his bat that's in question.
