Using cameras to steal signs is explicitly illegal. If a player/coach on the field steals a sign, that's ok, but teams are not allowed to use technology to do so.

 

I don't know what the rulebook says, but coaches stealing signs is definitely frowned upon among baseball people. The only purely accepted form of sign stealing is between the foul lines, by uniformed players on the field of play.

 

Sign stealing by 1st/3rd base coaches, managers, bench coaches, and players from the bench will often lead to retaliation against the batter.

That's a great deal for the white Sox. Reminds me of when we got Martin in 2015. At worst he is worth 8 wins over next 2 years alone

Maybe. Maybe not. I kind of get a feeling that more teams than normal are either unwilling or unable to spend on the top guys. If that's the case, the market may not get held up to the same degree as previous years while people wait for Boras to emerge from hibernation.

I don't think Zack Collins is even a catcher, probably a 1B/DH which isn't saying much since he's not a great hitter. Scouts really didn't like his defense and he was a butcher in limited time in the MLB, doesn't bode well for him.

Would love to see the Blue Jays sign Drew Pomeranz for the BP. He was lights out last year after making the move to the BP. Has Andrew Miller BP type potential IMO.
