Clayton Kershaw is having an approximately average start through 5 innings and Rick Sutcliffe is acting like he's Bartolo Colon out there. This is awful to listen to.

Bellinger is on pace for approximately 12.9 WAR this year.

If Seager ever returns to form, coupled with Pederson, Muncy and Verdugo - that's a nasty group of kids in their mid to late 20's.

I'll ask this. Who has a better career. Bellinger or Harper?

Bellinger is better than Harper. He projects better offensively, he runs the bases better, and he plays gold glove caliber defense at OF and 1B while Harper is average.

Remember when they played him at 1st base and people said his defense was so good there that the Dodgers shouldn't move him? f*** me people.

Odubel Herrera has been arrested and charged with domestic violence. Never trust a man who dyes his hair or beard gold.

What happened to this guy? He went from a 3 WAR player to useless in a hurry.

Harper is also only 3 years older and 20 WAR ahead. Bellinger might be (a lot) better now but Bryce is still a guy that on a disappointing year can still put up 3.5-4 wins. Their career paths are actually pretty similar to this point, as Bryce had consecutive 4 win seasons his first two years and at age 23 put up his monster season. If Bellinger can maintain his massive strikeout reduction while keeping the power then maybe in a year's time we'll be able to have a better outlook at the questioned posed.

I'll say Bryce has the better career until Bellinger proves he's a legitimate 8+ WAR true talent player.

Bellinger, especially as an all around player. Even if Harper hits more home runs. Which he might not.

Harper sure has a lot of disappointing seasons.

Thanks to being 2 for 20 this year, his career batting average dipped from .300 to .299

It would really suck if he had to retire with a .299 average instead of .300.

.299 is such an ugly number :(

What an idiot.

The list of tragedies that has befallen your DDL team this year is honestly hilarious. Almost every player you own has either been seriously injured, forgotten how to play baseball, assaulted a woman, or done several of those things.

Pretty much, nailed it.

RIP Bill Buckner. He sure took a bad rap in Boston, and baseball in general. The Kleenex or Coca Cola of errors in that World Series.

I used to take heat playing ball as a young guy cause my glove had his signature inked in it as endorsement.

Had to chuckle briefly listening to Jeff Blair today railing about what a great ball player he was based on "analytics". Lifetime 97 wRC+ and career of 19 WAR. Not awful for sure, but c'mon.

Jeff Blair's a f***ing idiot. Buckner was a perfect example of a player who accumulated counting stats - but wasn't actually that good at baseball. That said - RIP.

I’ll take the guy with upward trajectory playing for an amazing organization perennially in the postseason that also happens to be younger and plays better defence.

Also not a Phillies fan.

Lol only 5K fans showing up for a game,

Truth is no one really wants to go to ball parks anymore. Its expensive, and not really that fun, because everything is either a homerun or a strikeout. The average MLB fan is ageing. The average age of an MLB viewer is 57 f***ing years old.

In Star Trek Lure, the final game was played in 2042, when the last world series was won by the London Kings. They might not be too far off. Kids rarely watch baseball,

Total attendance has been flat lined for the past 20 years. Of interest from this article:

For the Blue Jays, the drop was due to how they released tickets to resellers.

“As we progressed in our business model, we didn’t think it was advantageous to have 50% of our tickets controlled by the secondary market,” Blue Jays president and CEO Mark Shapiro said as the season was getting underway.

Yeah, but in Total Recall (original) lore, the Toronto Blue Jays lose to the Tokyo Samurais in the 2084 World Series. I'll trust Arnold over Avery Brooks, thank you very much!

I think baseball will always exist, but its relevancy is definitely dropping, with no signs of it climbing back any time soon, if ever again.
