That ball wouldn’t have cleared the wall.

Doesn't look like it. He may not have even needed to jump. In typical Pillar fashion, he makes what would be a nice play look superhuman.

Hmm. Looks pretty close to me but hard to tell. Definitely made it look harder than it was though.

I'm not sure I'd call it a botch. I mean, we offered it and Edwin turned it down. The debate is in trying to get ahead of the market in signing Morales.

Was Edwin offered 3/60? I don't remember how it played out. If they offered it to him, then signed Morales when he declined, that it's less of a flub.

I thought it was 4/80. But yes, a good offer was made and he turned it down. Eventually signed with the Indians for less.

You're right, Jim... 4/80

They offered him 4/80 early in the offseason and Edwin turned it down.

The Toronto Blue Jays are doing their best to keep Edwin Encarnacion even after signing Kendrys Morales. The Jays tried to sign him earlier in the off-season to a pretty nice contract that Encarnacion rejected.

The Jays offered their own star free agent slugger Edwin Encarnacion about $80 million over four years, according to sources, and they remain interested in retaining Encarnacion even after signing free agent hitter Kendrys Morales.

The Jays didn’t entice Encarnacion to make a quick decision to return with their offer, but their continuing interest suggests the deal they offered is likely still on the table, at the least. The Jays had offered a two-year guarantee to Encarnacion (plus two team option years) in spring training, and their new four-year attempt at the very least shows a serious interest, a stance that hasn’t changed with the Morales deal for $33 million over three years.

That was 100% a homerun, stop the video where he makes the catch and it's obviously at least a foot above the top of the wall.

I did what you said, he's leaning on the fence and catches the ball at least 2 feet in front of him, waist high. That ball hits somewhere just above wall mid height

Did you get my PM the other day in reference to BORED?

Yeah. I meant to take a close look at the player, but haven;t gotten around to it. I'll probably watch him today then look at some stuff and get back to you tonight.

Sounds good.

IIRC

Jays offered Edwin 4 years 80M

Edwin declines

Very quickly Jays sign Morales 3 years 39M

Edwin signs with Cleveland for 3 years 60M plus an option, all while his camp expressed being upset that the Jays didn't negotiate with him further before signing Morales

Out of all this slop we signed, one of them should have been Dietrich.

No one could have predicted this start but the Marlins are still brain dead.

Michael Brantley with a 155 wRC+ and worth something like 1.4 fWAR so far. Indians outfielders have combined for -0.2 fWAR. WHat a pathetic org. Championship caliber core, and they couldn't give a long-time star player 2/32 at their biggest position of need.

Pathetic is the perfect word. That franchise needs to f***ing move. There is no helping it. I feel embarrassed for Lindor.

At least rebrand them as the Cleveland Spiders...

It's embarrassing.

I hope the Twins win the AL Central.

Hunter Renfroe just walk-off grand-slammed Kenley Jansen and the Dodgers.

20 times he's come to the plate with the bases loaded...he has 5 grand slams.
