gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 He has options. If one of these arms blow up, he'll be one of the first up here Axford doesn't have any options left?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Who else did you want Gibby to use? Clippard hasn't looked much better, Loup needs to be a LOOGY, Barnes already pitched, Tepera's got the 8th, Oh look tired and s***** last night and if we can't pile on some runs, we might be using Osuna for the 4th time in 5 nights (which is less than ideal). One option might have been to leave Barnes in? There's a chance we see Clippard in the 8th and Tepera in the 9th tonight.... The issue is having Axford on the roster period.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 This game must be so intense for Poppa Hurl, just hanging on. Jays likely only getting one more inning to bat and the Sox get two. This one is a nailbiter! I hope he wins.
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Axford doesn't have any options left? Mayza has options not Axford
el duque Verified Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Morales is not looking good, last year was a poor season and we can not trade him, I think he should go the minors to get focus

Did you want an explanation or can you Google it on your own? Not being snarky I'm legit curious

Then we'd be on the hook for his final two years. The FO likes him. Might as well keep him around, see if his hitting turns around this month. Maybe he can be a bench bat or something. Having a UT guy like Solarte helps.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Wow that might've been longer than Garcia's home run.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Dammit hurls bet not looking so hot

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Clippard's changeup is just comical.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 you are right i have no clue other than Morales is not mlb caliber right now 2 correct statements in a row. Wonderful. A guy with Kendrys' MLB service time cannot be optioned to the minors without his consent. He could be Designated for Assignment, in which case he is removed from the 40 man roster, and the team would have 10 days to try and trade him. If they can't trade him, he would be released, and then another team could claim him, and pay him the pro-rated league minimum salary for the rest if his contract, while the Jays paid the remainder of what he is owed. He could also just be traded without being DFA, but there's no team that would actually give anything up for him at this point AND take on that salary.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 This Gift dude just has such a slow bat.
