gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Granderson with a ringing lead off double. Nice line up tonight with Vladdy, Bo and Jansen being the bottom three.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 We need to acquire assets to complement Vlad when he arrives in T.O., ideally controllable assets. However that is done, do it. We could sign donaldson to an extension.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 We could sign donaldson to an extension. trade him for prospects at the deadline, sign him in the offseason
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 So can we cut Morales and Tulo and start Vlad and Bo to begin the year in the big leagues lol
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Vladdy turned on a 96mph heater and smashed a double on a line off the base of the wall in left centre.

It'll be more than 30% over the course of a full season. It was 37% in September, and that's when he was hot. Imagine him in a slump.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 I see Bichette hitting and I keep having to remind myself I'm watching him and not Donaldson. Even the follow-through is practically the same

Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Danny Jansen has a cannon. Wow.
Captain Adama Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Holy f*** Bichette. Inside-out swing and that ball was a no doubter oppo.
Muck Bartinez Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Bichette with the oppo taco bomb!
Muck Bartinez Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Holy f*** Bichette. Inside-out swing and that ball was a no doubter oppo. Vladdy beating out that chopper was decent too. I think he looks a lot chunkier than he actually is. That Kardashian ass of his just throws me off every time, but it obviously helps him generate power at the plate.

Yeah, Moran didn't play the ball that quickly, but I was pretty surprised he beat it out.
CraigG Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Danny Jansen has a cannon. Wow. Don't get why Mr. Zero Offense is the back-up catcher. Give 2/5 time to Jansen.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 Because Maile being a defense first backup is already his ceiling. Jansen can be a starter. You don't develop starting catchers by playing them twice a week
tercet Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 McGuire threw someone out in the aa/aaa game today from his knees and for some reason maile was dh’ing.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 right hitting jansen and left hitting mcguire could be a nice tandem if it works out

Off the bat I thought the Vlad double was a single to center, then the outfielder started going back, so I figured it was a line drive in the gap.
Ray Verified Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I'm not sure about that. He had a 25% k rate in 46 MLB games in 2016. There's more data on him now than there was in his first 46 games. League might've figured him out which is probably why he's been striking out more.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 I heard the attendance for these games isn't going to be nearly as good as it was in previous years. I wonder with the announcement of Bo and Vlad going a lot of last minute tickets will be sold.

I loved it when people advocated that Montreal deserved another chance at an MLB team because the 2 exhibition games over the past few years were sold out. Bitch please.

Bitch please. I still believe a team in Montreal with ownership that gives a s*** would be a lot more successful than any team in Florida. Florida doesn't give a s*** about professional sports. That's a college sports state.

Florida doesn't give a s*** about professional sports. That's a college sports state. A Miami Heat team that hasn’t been relevant since LeBron left is currently 6th in average attendance in the NBA. Much more relevant for low baseball attendances: the Rays have a bad stadium in a worse location. The Marlins have been arguably the worst run franchise in baseball since their last World Series.
