Our bullpen has been a strength this year. Apart from JD, IMO we’d get most value from trading rental relievers - getting another Hernandez type deal would be sweet.

I hope they dont wait til the deadline. This team is exactly what we are seeing for the past ten days or so. It is not getting any better and I hope they get out in front of all the other teams that will be looking to trade and get younger.

 

I think people need to greatly temper their expectations. This will be an extreme buyer's market. And there is very little chance the Jays would get in front of other sellers when they currently have a 20-25% chance of making the playoffs and nine other teams are already under 1%.

agreed. This is not a sexy move, having two middle infielders that are horrible with the bat. Gurriel hit some ropes that did not end up being hits. Makes you question, just how analytially savy this front office is.
