Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I would take goins any day before travis. Travis seems to be hurt all the time and overrated. Goins was solid whenever needed in 2017 and i got tired of hearing everyone saying he is not an averyday player. His numbers on offence say otherwise, and his defence is better than travis for sure, and you can stand him beside tulo at short too Goins numbers on offense were horrendous

Old lady, sorry, but your son kinda suxx at béisbol
Broken bat blues Verified Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I would take goins any day before travis for sure. Travis is too overrated. I dont get everyone saying goins is not an everyday player. His range is better at second then travis, and he stands toe to toe with tulo at short. Look at the money they could save and get a solid player at either side of the infield.
Broken bat blues Verified Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 How does travis look this season? And goins sux?! Haha

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 I can't believe these mouth breathers who make accounts in April to talk about Ryan Goins lol. At least call Shapiro stupid for signing Morales or something but not Ryan Goins for FFS.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Yeah, it's very weak trolling when it's already boring after three posts. Maybe it's just part of the mod training for BTS, build him up for the real thing
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 What sucks is that both Twins and Angels are headed for 90+ Wins. Angels because they maybe better than we thought and Twins because three teams in the AL Central are basically Garbage. They are going to have 55 games against those teams. We could have a year where we win 86 games and finish five games out of the second wild card. I mean it is what it is. Angels have had a soft schedule (nothing but A’s, Rangers, and Royals who are all ass) but they are winning at a high clip. They look real good. Twins will have the cupcake schedule. Jays can’t do anything except play the hand they are dealt. The Yankees never finished .500 or below during their transition years. Always over .500. Looks like Shapiro wants to aim for that.

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 Ah, like I thought. Do I need to rephrase my statement to say that Goins relevant offensive numbers are terrible? I couldn't give a flying f*** about his numbers with RISP when his overall batting line is horrendous.

You did seem to have missed quite a few games, the latter part of 2017 season.Goins was clutch down the stretch. Plus his defense was second to none.

Got him a job with the Royals good for him.

Not a lot of Robbie Alomars out there. I doubt if you saw Manny Lee play, lot like Goins.

His defense had gone down the shitter.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 If Goins caught that pop up in game 2 of the ACLS where Price was cursing before imploding after getting rattled we probably win that game. I will forever remember Goins for that. Plus watching him try to hit was torture. I don't understand why so many casuals love him so much. You would think casuals would like guys who hit homeruns or something.

Hockey fans love hard working, lunchpail grinders that aren't talented but pull themselves up by their bootstraps to make it into the league.....and suck.

When Goins first came up he made a bunch of really slick defensive plays, and people remember that. Same with Johnny Mac. They made watching defense fun. Once you get that perception into your head, it tends to stick even if it's no longer true.
