It took me a couple of minutes to read it. To make intelligent picks would take some considerable effort (unless they were told to just go off their gut instincts and the purpose was to show how awful the perception of managers, scouts and executives is).

 

Do you fill out every survey you get via e-mail too?

Sorry - but it's a pointless waste of time. Who the f*** gets enjoyment out of it? Does Clayton Richards get excited because he was recognized as having the 3rd best pickoff move in the NL?

I think you're struggling with this because it appears that you don't get enjoyment out of anything

Got to hand it to the A's. For as much derp as they did in 2014/15 (JD and other trades), it only took them 3 years to bounce back. That's a solid transitional period.

Desmond, Parra, Valaika, Cuevas, Tauchman, Daniel Castro (who in the f***?) have accumulated -4.1 WAR over about 1000 PAs

 

Dahl, McMahon, Hampson are all positive players.

 

Is it really that hard? Who the f*** are Valaika, Cuevas and Castro?

 

Pat Valaika 124 PAs of FOUR-FIFTY-TWO OPS!

 

Ian Desmond is a 1B with a .656 OPS vs. RHP and plays every day against them!

 

lol... they have Holiday destroying in the minors.

Essentially they got JD 2.0 in Matt Chapman and Lowrie at 35 has become what they hope Laurie would be after the JD trade. Then Blake Treinen is putting up what might end up being the second best relief season in last 20 years. It's a lot more lightning in the bottle but it helps that A's teams seldom give too many PA's to negative WAR players. Jays actually had a pretty good year with that too. Only Solarte has significant PAs and a negative. Morales a lot to be at replacement level but almost all of us would have cut him loose in May (or earlier) and missed out on the small recovery he had.

It's not just Blue Jays fans, Seattle is currently overtaken by Dodgers fans. It is LOUD in Safeco right now, and it seems to be boosting LA.
