I remember him getting into a feud with Bob McCown and calling him racist because he'd criticize him. Cito was real s***** sometimes.

That was radio gold for weeks with Bobcat going ballistic over that punkass move by Cito.

This is insane. 19 homers in 289 PA. I didn't think he'd have this kind of power. Especially not at 20.

His wRC+ over the past 10 days jumped from a decent 117 to a crazy 145.

Felix just walked Matt Chapman and gave up a homer to Jed Lowrie out of the bullpen. This is really sad.

His wRC+ since returning from injury is like 210 or something (before tonight's game).

Jose Ramirez - HOF career or no?

He's about to have a HOF caliber season. Of course, we've seen guys do that before, recently, and not put the careers together (Sizemore, Ellsbury come to mind).

His base running and defensive value, coupled with his good plate discipline and contact skills certainly give him a fighting chance (then again - the same could have been said for Ellsbury). This is his age 26 season. He probably needs to average 5 WAR per year over the next 10 to reach 70 WAR. That should get him in. If he can stay in the 6-8 WAR range for the next 3 years (27 - 29) he'll have a good chance.

Cubs trade for Gore!

I wonder if they will use him in the same way as the Royals in the playoffs.

With how much you talk about Gore, I thought it was Mackenzie Gore. lol. I was like "...NO! What? The Padres gave up Gore? ... Why would the cubs do that?" then I realize it Terrance Gore.

I may have done that on purpose. My bad.

Ohtani has had a few bullpen sessions and is close to returning as a pitcher - I really hope the Angels don't regret not waiting until next season for his (pitching) return.

The only thing the Angels are hoping for is he doesn't need TJS.

I'm a bit surprised they aren't taking the cautious route. It's really impressive to see Ohtani's still posting a 140 wRC+.

I think they've been cautious enough, it's torn, might as well see if he can pitch through it now, and see if surgery is required. If surgery is needed he can still hit next season.

TBF they’ve been very cautious with his batting. Though with the season now lost I would give him the extra month off the mound.

I feel like they're wasting his talent using him as a 2-way player if 2018 is his true talent level. A 140 wRC+ with 70 and an 80 arm should be starting in RF 6 days a week and putting up monster seasons without subjecting himself to the risks associated with pitching.

It was only a grade 2 sprain, the danger is by pitching it becomes worse and tears.

As sensible as that is I’m glad they aren’t yet doing that though. Ohtani was the best thing about this season and is the most interesting player in baseball IMO.
