Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 It was a bad judgment call. Agressive isn't always good. 9 times out of 10 he's safe on that play. He was almost in there if Machado didn't tag him on the hand, and hit his body instead. He should of slid headfirst though

He should of slid headfirst though I disagree with your percentages based on the reasons I listed above. It wasn't a 90% success type of play. 50% at best given Joseph didn't have to go far and the ball was heading towards 3rd making the throw shorter. Had the ball bounced off towards 1st Base instead... easily safe.

That would indicate a high success rate if repeated multiple times.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Estrada is just silly right now. The hitters are fooled by every pitch of his.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Marco changed his middle name to Cy this morning.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Travis is on everything. He completely turned around once April was behind him.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Where did that pitch miss.. That's what bad framing will do to you. Notice how neither the pitcher nor the catcher argued about it. Most egregious missed strike calls generally happen when a catcher is set up way inside and the pitcher misses where the former has to reach across his body.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Why so many guys wearing shades on an overcast day?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Why so many guys wearing shades on an overcast day? The skies are arguably just as bad to pick the ball up on days like this as any other time. There's still some glare when you look up and the ball can get lost very easily.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Sigh, of course after Buck and Pat spend the entire at bat talking about how Adam Jones might be hurt, he goes ahead and homers.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Of course, not going to keep these annoying f***s down. Hopefully our offence isn't done for the day.

The shades are also designed for overcast skies, similar to golf shades that make it easy to pick up the ball in skies like that.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 If there's one guy you never want to see hit a flyball it's Chris Davis. What might look like a routine flyout for anyone could be 5 rows deep for him.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Marco racking up the Ks. Nice job. This line up gives no mercy. Let's tack on a couple off of this LH scrub.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 When you see feeble 2-0 swings like that, you know you're a s***** hitter.
Governator Community Moderator Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Has Pillar ever taken a 4 pitch walk in his life? Different hitter up there.
bronson44 Verified Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Frustrating not to be tagging Miley right now. Not sure these 3 runs are going to cut it.
StubbinHub Verified Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Don't worry......Grille or Osuna will bloe this game.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Walking scrubs is never a good thing.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Walking scrubs is never a good thing. Mancini is not as bad of a hitter as you think he is.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Did Devon step on Miley? Hope he's fine.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 That was played terribly by Trumbo lol. Travis looks to be labouring a bit...

Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 21, 2017 Posted May 21, 2017 Did Devon step on Miley? Hope he's fine. I think he bumped his leg and had to step awkwardly after the base
