It was a bad judgment call. Agressive isn't always good.

9 times out of 10 he's safe on that play. He was almost in there if Machado didn't tag him on the hand, and hit his body instead. He should of slid headfirst though

I disagree with your percentages based on the reasons I listed above. It wasn't a 90% success type of play. 50% at best given Joseph didn't have to go far and the ball was heading towards 3rd making the throw shorter. Had the ball bounced off towards 1st Base instead... easily safe.

Ya maybe a tad high on percentages, but it took a perfect throw from Joseph and a perfect tag from Manny to get him. That would indicate a high success rate if repeated multiple times.

Where did that pitch miss..

That's what bad framing will do to you. Notice how neither the pitcher nor the catcher argued about it. Most egregious missed strike calls generally happen when a catcher is set up way inside and the pitcher misses where the former has to reach across his body.

Why so many guys wearing shades on an overcast day?

The skies are arguably just as bad to pick the ball up on days like this as any other time. There's still some glare when you look up and the ball can get lost very easily.

Sigh, of course after Buck and Pat spend the entire at bat talking about how Adam Jones might be hurt, he goes ahead and homers.

Of course, not going to keep these annoying f***s down. Hopefully our offence isn't done for the day.

The shades are also designed for overcast skies, similar to golf shades that make it easy to pick up the ball in skies like that.

If there's one guy you never want to see hit a flyball it's Chris Davis. What might look like a routine flyout for anyone could be 5 rows deep for him.

Marco racking up the Ks. Nice job. This line up gives no mercy. Let's tack on a couple off of this LH scrub.
