TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 How in the f*** is that the best camera angle in this era.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 He's out but not enough to overturn so he'll officially be safe.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 You think MLB would overturn that call for us? LOL
KevinGregg Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Holy f*** Travis is horrible defensively. What a horrible throw. How do you bounce an 80 ft throw honestly
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 what the f*** are you doing Martin? Are you seriously blaming that on Martin? Holy f***
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 He was clearly out, lol. Replay is so poorly implemented
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I don't understand why we even use replays when they just defer to the wrong call. He was unquestionably out, but they are too afraid to overturn for fear of making the umpires look bad.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Travis with a god awful throw. Anything decent and he's out easily.
EdwinsParrot Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 That out was gifted to them too..shouldve been an easy out
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Alright, let's somehow get Trout out and come away from this inning only trailing by one after some terrible calls all around.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 He was out...but of course the replay keeps screwing us
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Home plate ump is putting Chavez in good counts and Liriano in bad counts all night long. s*** call at home bones us too. This sucks.
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I don't understand why we even use replays when they just defer to the wrong call. He was unquestionably out, but they are too afraid to overturn for fear of making the umpires look bad. Not sure why they would worry about that, the umpires do a fine job of making themselves look bad all on their own.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 One run off Chavez. LOL We have the worst offense in baseball right now...I'm surprised we got 1. Need to get Donaldson and Tulo back asap
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I kind of like seeing the calls go against the Jays just to see Grant and Gruber go all conspiracy theory
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 How do you bounce an 80 ft throw honestly I have no clue. It didn't have to be perfect either, just don't f***ing bounce it, hit him in the chest ffs.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I kind of like seeing the calls go against the Jays just to see Grant and Gruber go all conspiracy theory "Circumstances"
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Like, if the umpire calls Maybin out there, Mike Scioscia might not even challenge that.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Honestly Liriano has been just fine but he's getting screwed from all angles here.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Not sure why they would worry about that, the umpires do a fine job of making themselves look bad all on their own. I can't wrap my head around deferring to the original call when we know with >99% certainty that he was out. I get it on plays where there is some doubt, but this is just absurd.
Yippy Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Travis got freaked out and rushed a throw. Guy has to just settle down
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 He didn't touch home plate, that's pretty clear. Did Martin tag him?
venema20 Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 Good ol Buck. "Liriano hasn't gotten any borderline pitches." Literally right after he just got a borderline pitch called his way
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 We have the worst offense in baseball right now...I'm surprised we got 1. Need to get Donaldson and Tulo back asap When you're down 0-1 or 1-2 instead of being up 1-0 or 2-1, it makes all the difference in the world.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 I kind of like seeing the calls go against the Jays just to see Grant and Gruber go all conspiracy theory What's the conspiracy theory? The replay system sucks and doesn't usually result in the correct call?
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 When you're down 0-1 or 1-2 instead of being up 1-0 or 2-1, it makes all the difference in the world. Agreed. Jesse Chavez with a 1-2 count is pretty good. When he's in a 2-1 count he's not.
Yippy Verified Member Posted April 25, 2017 Posted April 25, 2017 The scouts always said that about Travis above average offense but shaky defense
