Barry Davis coming to the BJMB on Thursday (Apr 13)

After some emails, Barry Davis has agreed to come to the BJMB to hang out and answer some questions next Thursday (Apr 13, 7 ET), around the time the Jays game starts. There should be an official thread posted a few hours before he is supposed to come and there he will be hanging out.

 

Also, he has a new podcast which you should checkout called No Suits Required. The premise is to talk some baseball with Barry without any sportsnet filters and the occasional special guest. I think that this will be a good opportunity for the board and for Barry so everyone make sure to be on your best behaviour. If he happens to tweet out the link to the public to come in and ask some questions he has 45k twitter followers so that could be a large number of new members coming here to talk some baseball.

Ok first question (this is a multi-parter): What were you feeling during the following 3 all-time Barry disses?

 

1) Snubbed by EE for an interview after a walk-off HR.

2) Josh Donaldson: "We like our team, Barry."

3) Danny Valencia: "It's called a weight room, Barry; I'll have to show you some time."

 

Second question: I was told by an anonymous source that Barry Davis swears like a sailor when off-camera. True or false?

The reference was to Ivanka Osmak, but it is scientifically impossible to be rated a 10 when there is Trump DNA present.

I am working but will be sure to be on doing some additional moderation duty. Will warn you now, any attempts to derail the Barry Davis thread will result in 24 hour bannings.

Is that punishment enough though. I would give fair warning and if you try and mess things up give them a weeks ban. 24hrs is nothing to some.

There will be other bannings I'm sure. But there will be rules to the thread. No matter how good the poster, no matter your history if you don't follow the rules you will be banned. This serves a dual purpose, keeps the thread in line and makes us seem like an O's Hangout type Nazi regime to the trolls who might come from Barry's Twitter account.

Make it a 3 day ban or a week ban. 24 hours is nothing.
