P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I wanted to see the pitch trax on that last called strike on Rodriguez
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Not so sure on pitch 5. On the Pirates broadcast it was outside the zone. The first pitch was well outside too.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Logan Forsythe fielding error ruins the perfect game in the bottom of the 9th.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Should have brought in Kenley.
Maahfaace Verified Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 That sucks for Rich, helluva game from him.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Should have brought in Kenley. They owed him from last season I guess.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Lol, that's an oof. Surprisingly, it's apparently the first time a perfect game has ended on an error in the 9th inning in MLB history lol!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Surprisingly, it's apparently the first time a perfect game has ended on an error in the 9th inning in MLB history lol! Apparently it's also the first time in history that a no-hitter is broken up with a walk off homer. That game was full of records!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Dammit look at this thing: Darvish: Estrada:
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 That Darvish slider is just mesmerizing Filthy AF
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Apparently Conforto just swung his own shoulder right out of its socket. That ain't good.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Apparently Conforto just swung his own shoulder right out of its socket. That ain't good. Mets are an unmitigated disaster all season

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I was out last night and missed this no-hit bid. I thought I'd share this story....something I'd never heard until an old guy at our baseball game was telling me about it last week. http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2015/05/26/126504134/harvey-haddix-threw-12-perfect-innings-and-lost Pretty incredible - especially since the Braves were stealing his signs all game long. Another interesting part of the story is that the Braves pitcher, Lew Burdette threw all 13 innings that night to get the win. Another interesting story I found was this one "On July 2, 1963, Juan Marichal pitched a 16-inning shutout against the Milwaukee Braves, outdueling Warren Spahn, who pitched 151/3 scoreless innings before Willie Mays won it 1-0 with a home run. Marichal threw 227 pitches; Spahn threw 201. Spahn was 42 years old, Marichal was 25"
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I went to a Mets home game this past weekend Best part was the all you can eat buffet that came with my seat Jk. Best part was being there with my son

thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Whoa that Tigers/Yankees brawl. I've never seen Miggy that angry before.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Atta boy Miggy. It's just too bad he wasn't throwing fists at Kahnle instead.
King Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Betances just threw a 100 MPH fastball at James McCanns head, after Miggy was thrown at then took a swing at Austin Romine.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Here's the Cabrera Romine fight Miggy, Romine ejected after benches clear http://atmlb.com/2g8tA8o
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Gary Sanchez is going to get a good suspension. When Romine and Cabrera were rolling around on the ground he came in and threw a cheap shot at Miggy. Just saw the clip on The Score app.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Here's a good view of the cheap shot:
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Confirmed: Gary Sanchez is a giant piece of s***. Brett Gardner's little man syndrome needs to be toned down as well.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 This is actually nuts. It feels like these teams might run out of players before the game is over. At this point, it's up to the acting managers to clean this up and get through the game.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 Here's a good view of the cheap shot: Wow. That's the weakest sucker punch I've ever seen. Sauce - I've thrown some sucker punches in my life.
