Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Well, I understand his bitterness, the guy's been one of the best 1B in the AL and absolutely deserves to be an all-star, but he's not gonna be. LOL at giving a Rays' player a chance with the final vote option. There should be 3 first basemen in the AL All-Star team. Morrison, Smoak and Alonso (as f***ing crazy as that sounds). Nobody else is even close; however, I expect a f***bag like Hosmer is on it? (I haven't looked) + probably Miggy because he's old.

jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Let's hope Francona gets better soon.. the Indians are sinking. 0-2 vs. the freaking Padres and facing an embarassing sweep tomorrow.. as the Royals surge toward the AL Central lead.

Pretty sure she just deleted her account as I can't access it anymore. Either it was a troll attempt that badly misfired, or she's just incredibly stupid. Or both!

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Jon Gray smacked a 467 foot dinger last night. Edit - furthest by a pitcher since 2015
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Jon Gray smacked a 467 foot dinger last night. Edit - furthest by a pitcher since 2015 no s***, juiced balls plus Coors will do that for ya
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 May have been mentioned in the GDT but Dellin Betances has walked 10 batters in his last 3 appearances over 2.2 innings
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 May have been mentioned in the GDT but Dellin Betances has walked 10 batters in his last 3 appearances over 2.2 innings Didn't he walk Goins on 4 pitches too?
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 no s***, juiced balls plus Coors will do that for ya It's one of the longest bombs hit at Coors this season by anyone. The Rockies (and visiting teams) have some darn good hitters who have not driven the ball over 450 feet at Coors this year, it's an impressive dinger by a pitcher regardless of the conditions.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 13 Ks for Robbie Ray through 6, but he's probably done (106 pitches).

Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Osuna is far more deserving of an all-star berth, even before Betances' recent struggles. There's quite a few more deserving relievers than Betances. Osuna certainly being one of them, I'm surprised with his save totals that he wasn't included on the roster. Chris Devenski is the other very notable omission. I still can't believe Ervin Santana made the roster.

I still can't believe Ervin Santana made the roster. My hope is 1 or 2 of those starters get ruled ineligible so Osuna gets rewarded a spot. It's suprising to me how few relievers their are. Maybe I'm crazy but I'm almost postive they used fewer roster spots this year.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Fernando Rodney gives up 2 hits and walks 4 (1 was intentional) before being pulled in what then becomes a tie game. Next pitcher gives up the game winning hit, handing the Dodgers their 23rd win in their last 27 games
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Remember when people were hoping the Jays could pry Austin Barnes away from LA? He's been a stud this year. 1.2 WAR in 44 games (122 PA's). 148 wRC+ Him an Grandal are killing it for the Dodgers as a tandem.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Dodgers are clicking on all cylinders They wish the playoffs were starting NOW Lol
Bobthe4th Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 As scary as any operation involving the heart is, it thankfully sounds like it's not too serious.

Yeah I remember posting about it last year, he also grades quite highly as a framer. Would have been nice to have a player like that instead of Salty/Maile.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Does this mean Gibby gets to manage the AL?? LMAO

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Yes Recovery is pretty quick Glad he's OK In theory it is, but post-surgery complications (such as DVT) are not all that uncommon with this procedure. DVT sucks.
