Cuz league min is nothing and our backup OF options are also dogshit players who didn't have 1.7 WAR seasons in 2016

Missed the Lg. min. part, is he better than DSJ and Pearce, I don't think so. I like the idea of looking at guys like Phillips or better Kendricks.

Eric Hosmer is now leading vote getter among AL 1B. Must be that .300 average.

1. KC fans trying to increase the trade value of their players

2. Smoak is only 150k behind and gaining

Yeah, the MLB Network must be a big part of this too, they see the travesty. They keep pumping his tires, rightfully so.

Man, if someone could teach him how to hit flyballs he could be a star. His wRC+ is 121 while also having a 55.3% GB rate.

Saunders is worse than Carrera

He really is

You stole my Favourite image. I have a tattoo of that eye. Tool fan

Morales is like that too. Hits ball super hard but into the ground half the time.

Andrew McCuthen not having quite the rebound season he or the Pirates were hoping for

.260/.333.476

wRC+ 112

0.9 WAR so far

I wanted Cutch or Fowler so bad...

McCutchen noticed he was pulling the ball too frequently and made adjustments to use the whole field.

Here's his line over the last month

Actually looks like he might post a positive WAR this year...dispite some truly awful baserunning.

In an effort to keep Matt Adams in the lineup when Freeman returns, the Braves are discussing the possibility of shifting Adams to LF, or even moving Freeman across the diamond to the hot corner - he played 3B in high school.

I suspect this won't be an issue once Freddie is ready to return in a month. Adams will return to hot garbage by then.

All of you guys are so tough on Michael Saunders. Remember he's Canadian!

I fully expect to see Saunders join Lawrie on the all-canadian ketchup chip party wagon soon.

Similar adjustment to what Zunino did in his latest trip to the minors. Been a star since coming back up

Zunino is rocking a 40% K rate and a .380 BABIP, I wouldn't put too many eggs in that basket.

He's not as bad as Hosmer but you're right, Morales still hits a lot of groundballs.

I was looking at him the other day on Fangraphs. That bubble is going to burst harder than an amateur who wins a night with a pornstar.

Scherzer was pitching a gem in Miami, no-hitter through 7 innings. It all fell apart in the 8th though, and now Washington is losing 2-1.

Baseball is weird.

Wasn't it Jose Tabata a couple of years ago who leaned into a pitch to get a HBP against Scherzer when he was 1 out away from a perfect game?

Isn't that the kind of thing you could look up yourself in 1/4 the time it took the post that?

Just replying to the previous comment on how baseball is sometimes weird and it was something that was off the top of my head. He managed to still get the no-hitter, though I'm sure it really wasn't that celebrated especially after what happened. Do you have a problem with that?

He shouldn't have been awarded that base, especially in that context.

Red Sox are up 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th but suddenly their relievers can't hit the broad side of a barn. Three straight walks to start the inning.

Salvador Perez first career grandslam! A Boston pitcher finally found the plate but it was smacked into next Tuesday. 6-4 KC still none out bottom of 8.
