KevinGregg Verified Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 I'd take a shot on Feliz, not Saunders though
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 All of you guys are so tough on Michael Saunders. Remember he's Canadian!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Cuz league min is nothing and our backup OF options are also dogshit players who didn't have 1.7 WAR seasons in 2016 Missed the Lg. min. part, is he better than DSJ and Pearce, I don't think so. I like the idea of looking at guys like Phillips or better Kendricks.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Then, DFA Tulo, Bautista, Pearce and Morales

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Saunders is worse than Carrera He really is You stole my Favourite image. I have a tattoo of that eye. Tool fan

McCutchen noticed he was pulling the ball too frequently and made adjustments to use the whole field. Here's his line over the last month 333/409/625

Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 In an effort to keep Matt Adams in the lineup when Freeman returns, the Braves are discussing the possibility of shifting Adams to LF, or even moving Freeman across the diamond to the hot corner - he played 3B in high school.

I suspect this won't be an issue once Freddie is ready to return in a month. Adams will return to hot garbage by then.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Similar adjustment to what Zunino did in his latest trip to the minors. Been a star since coming back up Zunino is rocking a 40% K rate and a .380 BABIP, I wouldn't put too many eggs in that basket.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Morales is like that too. Hits ball super hard but into the ground half the time. He's not as bad as Hosmer but you're right, Morales still hits a lot of groundballs.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Scherzer was pitching a gem in Miami, no-hitter through 7 innings. It all fell apart in the 8th though, and now Washington is losing 2-1. Baseball is weird.

Wasn't it Jose Tabata a couple of years ago who leaned into a pitch to get a HBP against Scherzer when he was 1 out away from a perfect game?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Isn't that the kind of thing you could look up yourself in 1/4 the time it took the post that? Just replying to the previous comment on how baseball is sometimes weird and it was something that was off the top of my head. He managed to still get the no-hitter, though I'm sure it really wasn't that celebrated especially after what happened. Do you have a problem with that?

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Yep: http://i.makeagif.com/save/v7QXZ2 He shouldn't have been awarded that base, especially in that context.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Red Sox are up 4-2 in the bottom of the 8th but suddenly their relievers can't hit the broad side of a barn. Three straight walks to start the inning.
