I don't care if Hoffman turns into an ace, Tulo made some pretty big contributions in our playoff runs

 

Getting out from under the Reyes contract right before he got suspended for domestic violence was the real coup here.

That was a massacre. Orioles shouldn't be allowed to play the Yankees again. Or they need to apply a mercy rule. My goodness. Yankees dynasty the next 15 years is going to be annoying.

Former Yankees prospect Jose Pirela all of the sudden is hitting crazy for the Padres this season. Had crazy AAA numbers too. Is he legit or nah?

 

Since I scooped him up in the LoD, I'm going to go ahead and proclaim him as a stud.

Howie Kendrick is another possibility for a trade target. Can play the outfield as well as second base and also in the last year of his contract. I'd prefer a lefty if we do acquire an OF though.

I wonder if Angel Pagan is still available. Is he playing in Mexico?

 

Honestly, better than Pagan and Hendrick for the Jays now and the future would be to play Pompey if the man ever gets healthy. Or Alford, if he ever gets healthy. Smith Jr. until they come around? I am not sure. But any of those three instead of selling the farm. I truly can't stand Carerra, but he's holding his own.

 

Also, I am aware I probably misspelled 2-5 names there, but I am on my second rum and don't give a f***.

Angel Pagan decided to take a year out because no one would give him a starting role, and to spend time with his family. He's likely retired.

Defensive error

Then bullsit ball 4 call on what should have been a K

Then the Nationals bullpen does what it does and gives up a 4 spot to the Rangers and lose the game

 

(To be fair Nationals scored one run but still...)

 

And now their supposed closer is going on the DL

They're lucky their division sucks this year. Still should go out and grab a veteran closer, maybe a guy like Johnson from Atlanta.

Mike Rizzo is awful. He traded 5 years of Felipe Rivero for 2 months of Melancon last year. Now Rivero looks like an elite closer and they have nothing to show for Melancon.

NL Central is a joke. 1st place is the Brewers and they are 2 games over 500

 

I can't even conceive that the Cubs are a .500 team

 

They have too much talent to stay that way

AL Central is in the same boat--Cleveland is struggling to stay above .500, and Minnesota is surprising everyone despite a very shoddy bullpen (worst in the majors!) Hopefully this straightens out soon--Cleveland has enough talent to win that division.. and the rest of the Central doesn't.
