Great post. I love this community too. Hasn't been a day I can remember where I didn't visit the board at least a couple of times. Even when I'm on a beach I make time to check in and see what's up.

 

I don't even bother with Twitter] or anything like that for news as I know if it's being reported it'll be here. Between that aspect and the intelligent discussion generated this place is second to none as a baseball fan.

 

Ha same! If anything news worthy is posted on twitter it will be posted here in mins. This place is really the best.

Thats a good post ^. Agree with you on IWok's approach. You take a lot of really negative heat on the board. I don't understand it. Although we probably share the same center-left political philosophies, I often disagree with your posts. But you try not to get too personal and I do admire how you hang in there on what you believe, even if overly stubborn sometimes. Of course, you took a vicious pounding on Sanchez and.....

 

I go against the grain too much and often post controversial ideas. But hell, where would the world be without non-conformists?

Same. News here first from King or G-Snarls etc. I don't even have twitter. One of the things I appreciate is the statistical valuation discussion o here. I'm older and got a D in stats my first year in Business School(and that was a gift from the Prof). I grew up that HRs, RBIs and avg were the measures of value, Defensive value was only give GG sort of thought. From a lot of younger and smarter analytics guys on here, Id like to think I've learned some.

Thanks for that buddy, but I've got thick skin. After years of seeing NJH post, there's a pretty clear pattern. When he's right it's good times and he makes sure to tell everyone. When he's wrong, any factual content disappears and the random insults start coming until the other person backs down. The worse the insults, the more desperate he is to cover up his insecurities. People here obviously admire that. Others that stick to facts are seen as trolls.

 

People with his internet personality aren't respected socially or professionally in the real world so I hope that it's just a front. Lots of people come across differently on the internet, including each of us I'm sure.

How hard is it to write about bugs? Seems like being dishonest there would be more of a pain in the ass than it's worth.

 

Maybe one day you'll be able to remove your head from your ass and realize that there are many people here as smart or smarter than you on this board and the fact that they ALL think you're a dishonest prick would send some kind of brain signal to most people. Like that time you said Taijuan Walker was on the cusp of being an ace, and by ace you meant above average starter. Instead of just admitting you exaggerated, you double down and imply that everyone else is just stupid and clearly unable to comprehend what you post.

Special shoutout to my liberal Canadian friends who both yell at and receive yelling from a conservative American in the Politics Thread. I sometimes don't know why we do it but it's been fun. When Trump won you were all gracious in defeat. BC, Jimcanuck, Dinger and occasionally Deadpool among others. BTS and Kingkat are less partisan but challenge my points fairly nonetheless. Dickpole makes some decent conservative points there and Boxcar is a liberal but he hates PC Culture as much as I do and does a great job there.
