BTS Community Moderator Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 So burlingtonbandit is engaged to the dogg's sister, who is also his brother, who has at one point f***ed the dogg, who is also his and her brother? Multiple people are about to lose their skin.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Lost in all this is that burlingtonbandit is apparently engaged to a man. #fiancee Ew! Not at the dude thing, at marriage in general.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Ew! Not at the dude thing, at marriage in general. I've been invited to five destination weddings/wedding-related events since 2013. Why must people pry open my wallet to celebrate their 50-50 chance at banging only one person for the next 50 years?

The only way I'd ever do a destination wedding is if they're so rich they pay for airfare and hotel. So never.

The only destination wedding I'd even think of attending is someone from my immediate family.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Destination weddings are selfish. No. Many places with enough guests the bride and groom get to stay for free, and the wedding is free too. Just makes sense.
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 No. Many places with enough guests the bride and groom get to stay for free, and the wedding is free too. Just makes sense. So it's selfish, just like he said.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 28, 2016 Author Posted December 28, 2016 No. Many places with enough guests the bride and groom get to stay for free, and the wedding is free too. Just makes sense. Expecting your guests to drop like $1500 each so you save money on your wedding is about the most selfish thing I've ever heard of.
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Sarcasm doesn't work 'round here

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Expecting your guests to drop like $1500 each so you save money on your wedding is about the most selfish thing I've ever heard of. I've always had the same opinion. That said, my best friend just got engaged. He wants a very small wedding with close friends/family only. I'm older now and much more financially stable and for the first time in my life I thought to myself the other day that I'd be all for a destination wedding. He's the last one from our friends group to get married, so maybe it's like the turning of an era and I want to go all out or something. Don't know. To be honest - I'm hoping someone says lets jump on a plane and go somewhere for the bachelor party too. We've done the bach parties in Toronto and Niagara Falls so much now that I'd like a change. New strippers to fondle I guess I skipped out on a couple of my friends weddings now (one destination, one out in Alberta) that would require me to pay a lot of money to attend. If I've perfectly honest, conversations arise about their weddings when the boys all get together and I feel super cheap for not going. Just something to be aware of if you're against destination weddings and are invited by good friends.

Just something to be aware of if you're against destination weddings and are invited by good friends. I did a bachelor week in Mexico in 2013. It was pretty cheap. I was ready to be done after like three days though since the group was mostly my buddy's other circle of friends.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted December 28, 2016 Posted December 28, 2016 Expecting your guests to drop like $1500 each so you save money on your wedding is about the most selfish thing I've ever heard of. But you get to vacation with people that you would never go on a vacation with. I will say it's still selfish but a destination wedding means no wedding planning...which might be worth paying for your guests to go to the destination wedding.
Ray Verified Member Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 The more I think about it, the more I like Pompey as a platoon partner with Upton. It was just pre-2015 that he was ranked by most outlets as a Top 50 prospect in all of baseball. Obviously they see something in him. He's hit decently well in the minors. I mean, a .270 average and a .350 OBP in AAA isn't lighting the world on fire, but it's not anything to scoff at. Obviously his defense and speed are his biggest tools. If he can hit for a decent enough average, no reason he can't be our own Jarrod Dyson. He's 24 now. Might as well give him a full season and see if he sticks.

I'd like to see Pompey be given a chance, especially if we only sign 1 more OF. But if given a choice between him and Carrera, Gibbons is going to go with the "MLB proven" Carrera 90% of the time.
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 I want to see Pompey given a chance which includes the green light to run that is how he can help the team granted he has to get on base first
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Pompey fantasy owner. The guy can't catch the ball, and he's a f***ing moron on the field. He looks like an idiot running and catching the ball. He needs to improve his mental game
