Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 As the Fox announcer said Indians have used as motivation the fact that everyone was writing them off after they lost two of their starters. Likely won't be enough to beat the cubs but looks to be enough to beat the jays. The jays have already exceeded everyone's expectations in beating Texas so they look to a bit out of gas now.

Yeah, Cubs look almost unbeatable in a 7-game series. They have no weaknesses.
Mittens87 Verified Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 The Cubs could not hit Matt Moore. If he finished that game Cubs might of been knocked out in game 5 with cueto, who they only had 1 lucky homer off of.
Stevecool Verified Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 That almost ripped Chapman's head off
vdubmvp Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 That almost ripped Chapman's head off Joe Blanton? I think you're lost.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 16, 2016 Author Posted October 16, 2016 Joe Blanton? Blanton will not be pitching in this series.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Joe Blanton? I think you're lost. Blanton will not be pitching in this series. Since we are on a Blanton tangent...I wish we would have signed him.

RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 At the end of the day the flaws in this Jays team were too difficult to overcome. For the second year in a row we are being beaten by a more balanced team We are too homerun heavy. Hopefully we can retool offense
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Why haven't Stevecool and all the other new troll accounts been banned yet?

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Regardless how the next week plays out, this season was a tremendous success. People don't realize how difficult it is to get to the ALCS, let alone 2 years in a row.

Hopefully we can retool offense Thanks Joey Bats, and EE for the memories you provided some good ones, and tried your very best as mid 30s guys with slowing bat speed. You have two days left... I don't blame you if you just go out with a wimper... you've done so much and must be so tired. If you decide to take every horse amphetaimine known to man, to speed up your aging bats, that will be interesting too, and maybe you'll make it back to Cleveland for the weekend. Otherwise... congratus Indians... the young inherit the earth,
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 The Indians are beating us via the long ball and people are mad we're to reliant on hitting homers.

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 When are people going to understand hitting homeruns in the playoffs is how you win games? 3 of Cleveland's 4 runs this series have came on Homers. The Cubs won last night because of a big grand slam...

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Two road games, one run. One of those games being against an ace who you'd expect to throw a good game. If this was the regular season, this wouldn't even be on the radar as a slump. But in the post-season everyone thinks the sky is falling. We'll see in a week where this team stands.
