lol I've always hated the term, "good at bat". Like the batter gets credit if the pitcher is wild or is s*** on because they threw him 2 well placed strikes in a row which resulted in a quick out

A good at bat is one where you foul off strike three more than a couple times, protecting the plate until you get a good pitch to hit or the pitcher misses. A good at bat is also one where you recognize a mistake and crush it.

If anyone wants to go to the game tomorrow night, I could sell my single. Sec 126, Row 28. Will sell for face value ($245). If not then I don't mind going down.

Well Indians are expected to win now. Pressure on them, if they lose tomorrow no way they aren't scared of Sanchez on Tuesday and evening the series

They have scored 1 run the past 18 innings. Anything short of Clayton Kershaw and you won't win a game like that.

Bats wake the F*** up

Unless its Sanchez vs Kluber.

This is the preferred match up for me. Kluber on short rest might not be as effective. There's tons of data suggesting pitchers pitching on short rest in the playoffs aren't as effective. If you burn that bullet and lose, we have a rested estrada facing who in game 5?

Francona unlikely to use kluber I think in game 4 because he would need to be on short rest to get a game 7 and then wouldn't be ready to start World Series. Plus his groin issue recently makes it even more unlikely.

Also if they just went with 3 pitchers and didn't use clevinger they would have to go Tomlin short rest also right? But I guess Francona isn't really afraid to do what he has to do to lock it down. Clevinger had a few good starts this year

Gotta hope Bauer has a start like his second to last of the season I think 3 hit batters and 6 runs? Would be hard to bullpen for 5 or 6 innings with clevinger coming for game 4

I Salazar available? I could see Clevinger for 3, Salazar for 2, and Otero and Shaw for 1 each.

No Salazar

He's not on roster

Would play if they make WS

Won't waste their best bullpen guys if down a couple runs this game

If Andrew Miller were a FA this winter how much does he get? 4/75? 5/90? Sounds crazy but I think he would get it.

I think he'd get 5/100. Chapman and Jansen could be in that range this offseason.

Really need a good start at home. With Sanchez and Estrada going in 4 and 5, if the Jays win today, they'd have a good shot of getting back in this series---IF they hit.

With that many good arms in free agency I doubt they would all get that. Isn't it also a pitching(starters) heavy market to? or is that next year? that would bring the cost of relievers down to

That was last year. Hellickson and Nova are the cream of the crop this year.

Wonder where all the morons are who complain about scalpers. Can get tickets well under Face Value for the next 3 games.

The upper 500s are $115 CAD face value, the cheapest right now on stubhub for today's game including fees are $95 USD which converts to $125 CAD. Still pretty good though an will definitely lower towards game time.
