fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Well nobody knows for certain but you have to believe that Bannister told the whole team that they would wait until the last chance to throw at him. Otherwise, somebody else would have done it by then. True, just checked the game logs and Matt Bush did indeed face Bautista the first game. I thought it was the first time matchup for the two
admin Site Manager Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 JD actually did stop before coming home, the play is not even close if he kept running. I'd say that is even more impressive. Yeah their example wasn't close at all. I'm actually surpised it wasn't like that though. Like why wouldn't he be rounding it just incase rather than stopping. If he would have been out that would have looked really bad. That slide at the end is hilarious, and it's even funnier they just end the video right after. Seems like instant regret on his part lol.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Common, managers don't order players to throw at other players. If anything, Odor probably set the tone for anyone to throw at Bautista the same way Donaldson set the tone for Happ to throw at the Yankees. lol wut

Driveof85 Verified Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 And another thing-anybody else notice Jeffress kicking at the foul lines each time he left the field? What's up with that? Most players are careful not to step on it.

I always thought he sucked because of it though, but I guess he got better and still does it, so can't be related.

Everyone knows that!

Mother f***** talking like it's game 5 lol Haha one play better in Game 3 perhaps, but what about the two previous games, especially Game 2 when they took a s***-kicking? What a dumb line to toss out after you've been swept.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Martin was only one hit better than him. Ya but Martin also didn't make a brain fart that allowed a huge run to score.

AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Am I the only one who thought Bautista deserved to get punched in the head by Odor?
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 the s*** kicking was game 1 Oops you're right, my bad - point still stands though. Am I the only one who thought Bautista deserved to get punched in the head by Odor? Outside of Texas you're definitely in the minority on that one.

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 In defense of Texas, I actually think the Jays got pretty lucky to take Game 2 at all. There were Rangers on base pretty much the whole game. It could have easily, easily gone the Rangers' way. Not that it was a particularly great performance for them, but it had Jays loss written all over it. Game 3 was the only game that looked like a matchup of two playoff teams fighting each other for a title (until the literal tying and walk-off runs were fumbled away, that is).
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 ugh sorry, that was such a GD thing to do. Haha no worries, accuracy is a good thing.
intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Haha no worries, accuracy is a good thing. Tell that to Rougned Odor.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Tell that to Rougned Odor. Zing!
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 never figured you'd be one to advocate physical assault. Physical violence is OK, when someone tries to injure you with a dirty slide. Come on, we all know that if some douche did a slide like that in an attempt to take out Tulo or Travis, we'd all hate that player. Just blatant homerism. And we'd love it if Tulo/Travis, turned around and punched that player in the head.

Take a look at some of the slides into 2B that Odor has commited, makes Joses look like a walk in the park.
