Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I'd personally argue in most cases Chicken also tastes better than the other two... Also since when is a classy stakehouse in a small town a norm? 20,000 people live in Ferguson? dude I know you don't eat pork, but that also means you can't judge it. Pretty sure you also have some weird rule where you can only eat overcooked beef. My gf felt the same way as you until I tainted her. Nothing you can make out of chicken remotely compares to a perfect medium rare steak, or a smoked rack of pork ribs.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 i love some korean food yum some holiday kimchi can be amazing, but it makes you sweat out so you smell like garlic and cabbage. delicious though.

jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I could think of a lot of things to throw on the field, but I doubt toilet paper would crack my top 100. Alright, Todd. Top 103 of things to throw on the field by next Monday.

Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Hopefully we just throw love moving forward. Just resist the urge to throw s***. I would never think of throwing anything. I would feel terrible if I hit someone. I never liked that throw the Baseball back thing either. It's dangerous and we have seen an Outfielder hit in the back of the head before. Wasn't it Gardiner that was hit last year?

STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Chicken is usually cheaper in the Midwest part of the U.S. But what I'm most interested in is what would be considered grounds for being kicked out of a public venue, like a sporting event? For instance, if someone was just being loud and obnoxious the ENTIRE game but wasn't using any profanity or anything else of a racial or sexist manner, could you kick someone out for JUST being loud and annoying when it's encouraged to make noise at a baseball stadium? What if this same fan yelled "f***" every inning, but then was quiet the rest of the game? And what if this same guy was quiet the entire game, but only yelled "MONKEY" when Jones was up to bat or "SLANT-EYE" when Kim was batting? I remember complaining to an usher at an Expos game at Olympic Stadium when some young kid was yelling the entire game. After a few innings, I had enough and complained, and the usher told me that they "encourage fans to make noise" since they were getting less than 10,000 a game. That's a piss-poor answer to give to someone. So I ended up moving to the other side of the stadium since finding an empty seat was easy, and I could STILL hear the kid from there!

Lol you're right about pork, can't knock it if I haven't tried it, I meant beef, I've had lots of steaks and I love me some ground beef, but wings are life

Had these 2 really strange characters who used to come in once a week and the one wanted blue rare which is literally 15 seconds on each side and the other guy wanted only 15 on one side. I used to throw it on the grill and then hold it under the heat lamp a few seconds and they loved it... yuck. I'm a rare steak guy but I want it at least warm in the middle on the other side there were people who ordered the thickest steak on the menu well done... you can't do it without burning the things unless you're smart. A few minutes on each side, braise the sides, throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes and have at it. people who truly like and appreciate a good steak would know something was up, but they wouldn't order a 2" thick steak well done either.

o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Wtf? Why would you eat this? was in Korea and had to try something truly Korean. You get really good with chop sticks In Korea since at most places you don't get your own plate. lol pick fast or go hungry. I always want to eat some local food when I travel. It's all part of the trip.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Both of these are absolutely disgusting. I swear to god these guys both looked like Riff Raff from Rocky Horror a good ribeye should never make it too medium. If you want the best flavor and consistency from the steak that's where your limit should go. One of my favorite cuts of meat.
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Also, I remember at a Brewers game I was watching on tv, a fan got thrown out of a game by that ******* balkin' Bob Davidson who was the plate umpire, and was ejecting players and coaches all game because his strike zone was terrible. And this fan was sitting behind home plate heckling the umpire and giving him s***, and Davidson kicks him out of the ballpark! You could hear the fan on tv, but I don't think he was using language, he was just being annoying like that fan at Tropicana Field. And the umpire kicked him out. I didn't know fans could get kicked out for arguing balls and strikes!!

intentional wok Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I've had meat once this week. This thread is killing me. But kimchi rules. I once had a six-lb jar of it and ate some every day for lunch. There's almost no food I won't eat except for blood pudding and haggis. Haggis is worse than starvation.
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 I have a personal experience with being accused of throwing something at a sporting event. Me and a high school friend from Detroit were at the Scottrade Center for a Blues/Red Wings playoff game back in 1998. We were both wearing our Red Wings jerseys which of course pissed off the crowd, but oh well, you're allowed to wear a different team's jersey at a game. Of course, the Red Wings were kicking ass and getting ready to eliminate the Blues yet again, and some Blues fan in our upper section took one of those little cardboard signs that fans bring to the game that says "Let's Go Blues", and he took a sharpie and wrote "Red Wings suck!" and then made it into a paper airplane and threw it down towards the ice. We were sitting right behind him so we saw the whole thing and didn't think much of it at the time. I ended up going to the restroom, and when I came back it was mayhem! There was a police officer in our section cornering my friend and all of the Blues fans were pointing at him/us claiming that we threw the airplane because they were mad that we were Red Wings fans and wanted to gang up on us. My friend was kind of shy so I spoke up on his behalf and told the officer that I was with him. I told the officer that we saw who threw the airplane and if they found it, it would say "Red Wings suck!" Now why would WE write that on a sign and throw it? The officer was a real dickhead and was shoving my friend up against the wall like he was some apprehended thug and pushed his badge into my friend's face letting him know what his badge number was in case we wanted to complain. He was getting assaulted without any "real proof" just a bunch of sore loser Blues fans word for it. The cop said he could take us down to the city jail (yikes!) and fine us $500 for littering with NO PROOF! Finally, some arena employee came out and said we're fine and to let us go back to our seats because they probably looked on surveillance video and saw that it wasn't us. I don't remember if the Blues fan ever got in trouble. We were pissed and went down to the St Louis city police station and complained to their internal affairs department about the officer's attitude (without any evidence) and gave them his badge number, and of course we never heard anything about it again. They're not going to do anything to their own people especially when it's 2 teenagers complaining about police brutality. They probably figured we were exaggerating.

You can learn to eat meat cooked a little bit less, but you would have to do it gradually. tip for the steak... always room temp before grilling to get an even cook. brush a very thin layer of olive oil and then some white pepper and salt 10 minutes before. then just cook that baby. A really hot grill really helps too.

Haggis is really disgusting. in the Philippines they have a delicacy called balut. that is some other world weird s***. Balut is a fertilized chicken or duck egg with an almost developed embryo. The egg will be eaten in the shell once it has been boiled.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 LOL so throwing a beer can on the field deserves this much BS? Have you texted when driving? Yes you did...Drank and drove? Yes you did... I am not saying this is OKAY what I am saying is...a guy threw a beer can on the field...like come on lol
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Didn't fans also litter the field during the home opener a few years ago against Detroit when Leyland was their manager?
STLJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Sometimes it's not just the fans at the game that you have to worry about causing problems. I remember back in 2000, a woman was hit with a stray bullet at a Royals game when someone opened fire on Kaufmann Stadium from Interstate 70. And also here in St. Louis, it's dangerous walking to and from Busch Stadium to where your vehicle is parked and our subway is REALLY dangerous also.
